While we were on our girls trip to Asheville, we saw Chihuly at the Biltmore and we went to Lexington Glassworks to see glass being blown. I bought a gorgeous blue ornament while I was there. I enjoy collecting ornaments, they remind me of my travels and are always small enough to take home with me.
Lexington Glassworks is beautiful store full of blown glass and people working right there in the store.
Yesterday I got an email from Lexington Glassworks giving an update after hurricane Helene that ravaged multiple states in the US including North Carolina.
So glad to hear they are all ok. I am curious about the Biltmore house and All Souls Church both of which are beautiful and built in 1895 and 1896 respectively.
Here are a few videos of the glass blowing process at Lexington Glassworks.
The glass is amazing and the hanging lights is the inspiration for what I want to make in the glass blowing class I start on October 24th. I am SO EXCITED!!!
Wow!! It’s so beautiful and they are called a glass house for a reason!
Thanks for sharing dearest Lady

They make beautiful glassware, they have many skills. I'm surprised they don't need a mold to do this.
Looking what they produce, it definitely means they have good glassware
