Una de las plazas más famosas de La Habana muy cerca de la plaza de la Catedral de San Cristóbal, conociendo un poco de la historia de esta plaza nos comentan que su nombre se debe a que en el siglo XVI cuando el gobernador colonial comenzó a utilizarla para tomar el mando sobre la guarnición de la fortalezas debido a su cercanía con la Bahía y la utilizaron como base militar.

Desde el exterior observable su gran estilo grecorromano , lo protege unas grandes columnas de piedras y una gran reja negra, al adentrarnos podemos observar un simple jardín y la gran ceiba llena d tradiciones ,donde cada 16 de noviembre es tradición entre los locales y los viajeros dan tres vueltas a las ceibas en sentido contrario a las manecillas de reloj esta selva fue cambiada en 1960 y luego sustituida por una más joven en 2016 pero esta no tuvo suerte y murió y fue cambiada el siguiente año que es la que actualmente podemos ver.
