There are lots of natural baths in various districts on the island of Sumatra, especially parts of North Sumatra. On this occasion, I will share my experience of visiting a natural bath.
This natural bath is called, "Manigom Nauli" which is located in the Tiga Dolok area, Simalungun, North Sumatra.
This tourist attraction is very suitable for those of you who like climbing and soaking in clear, natural water.
To get to the center of this natural pool, we have to go down the pathway track. So automatically to go home we have to climb to the top area.
Before heading to this natural tourist attraction, make sure you have a fit body. Apart from that, we can do physical training a few days before going to this location so that our bodies don't get shocked.
We will see the name plaque marking this natural bath. The distance to the main area is stated to be approximately 200 meters.
200 meters sounds close, but that's not true if we are already at the location because we have to go down again to reach the center of the pool.
This natural bath is like a hidden gem. A bit difficult to reach but very worth visiting, especially for city people who are bored of the crowded life around.
Walking to the main pool area feels like walking through an unspoiled forest. But there's no need to worry because the road access is quite good and clean. There's no need to worry about itchy weeds.
The path to the main pool looks clean. The surrounding area still looks bushy and that means this place still maintains a beautiful surrounding atmosphere.
The pathway, which is designed with tiers like stairs, will make it easier for visitors to access the main location of the bathing pool. However, it is not recommended to use the pathway when it rains.
Apart from being dangerous because it is slippery, the surrounding trees will also become dangerous during the rainy season. That's why we can ask local guides about safe weather when visiting this location.
The local trees in this area provide a very fresh air supply. For me it felt like I was exercising in the morning despite the fact that I arrived at this tourist area almost at noon.
The rays of the hot sun are blocked by the surrounding trees. So it still feels cool even though it's a very hot day.
Arriving at the main location of the bathing pool, there are many tents to put things and relax there, but we have to pay $2 for cleaning and mats.
This swimming pool consists of several locations that can be used for swimming. Because it's not deep, it's safe for children, even those who can't swim.
This natural bathing pool comes from a natural spring so the water is very clear. Managed by local people for a long time and this place still looks beautiful. Clean and no rubbish scattered around.
Look at the water, it's really clear and blue. We can look at the bottom. The water is clean and fresh.
This main pool is also used to flow water to surrounding places so we will see this place as an irrigation system.
The irrigation will look like a simple waterfall which will make the surrounding pond look even better.
The irrigation system is still maintained even though it has been used since colonial times. That's what really makes me salute.
Swim in the clear water of a natural spring, with surrounding trees providing a supply of fresh air. A hidden gem that is worth visiting while on holiday.
Try to look at the surrounding trees and it will be a great escape from the busy city. Do you want to try it?
Natural and really refreshing, it's good that it has a flat ground or else it'll be more hard to get there if it's not cement. But can you use motorcycle or maybe a bike to get there? But with those stairs, is if possible? Or will thry allow it?
No bike. Just using our feet That's why like climbing activity
So fun to do when our body fit
Ohh, thats more amazing that way ✨
