I survived the stormy night under the overhang unscathed. So with the sunrise I set off again. The road around the river was picturesque, although in some places somewhat muddy due to night storms. After a few kilometers I came to an interesting building in the middle of nowhere. I learned from the information board that it was a hydroelectric power plant.
Bouřlivou noc pod převisem jsem přežil bez úhony. A tak jsem se s východem slunce vydal opět na cestu. Cesta kolem řeky byla malebná i když místy poněkud rozbahněná díky nočním bouřkám. Po několika kilometrech jsem došel k zajímavé budově uprostřed ničeho. Z informační tabule jsem se dozvěděl, že jde o vodní elektrárnu.
The river and streams had a greatly elevated level and a somewhat muddy color.
Řeka i potoky měli značně zvýšenou hladinu a poněkud bahnitou barvu.
The first stop of the day was the ruins of a castle called Dívčí kámen. Because I arrived at the place early in the morning. The ticket cost 70 CZK. I definitely did not regret the entrance fee, because I had the whole castle just to myself.
*První zastávkou dne byla zřícenina hradu s názvem Dívčí kámen. Vzhledem k tomu, že jsem dorazil na místo brzy ráno. Lístek stál 70,- Kč. Vstupného jsem rozhodně nelitoval, protože jsem měl celý hrad jenom sám pro sebe. *
As I wrote in previous posts along the way, I met memorable trees. Another in a row was a linden tree near the village of Třísov. Here is at least a comparison of size with a chapel and a bench.
Jak už jsem psal v předchozích příspěvcích cestou jsem potkával památné stromy. Dalším z řady byla lípa nedaleko obce Třísov. Zde je alespoň srovnání velikosti s kaplí a lavičkou.
The journey continued through the rolling countryside to the village of Zlatá Koruna. Which is known mainly due to the monastery. But since I am a sworn atheist, I do not support any Christian or other church goods. Therefore, I missed the paid tour and took only a photograph of this warehouse from the city.
Cesta pokračovala zvlněnou krajinou, až do obce Zlatá Koruna. Která je známá především díky klášteru. Ale jelikož jsem zapřisáhlý ateista tak nepodporuji žádné křesťanské ani jiné církevní statky. Placenou prohlídku jsem proto vynechal a z města si odnesl pouze fotografii tohoto skladiště.
On the other hand, I am very happy to support entrepreneurs who are trying to offer something special. And that is exactly what the Na Letné pub meets. First, the interior of a classic pub from the beginning of the 20th century overwhelmed me. Another nice surprise was a very tasty beer. And last but not least, great food. I've never had such a juicy chicken fillet topped with potatoes and bacon. When I talked to the restaurant owner, I found out that the chef is actually an artist who specializes in Cubism, but is unable to make a living. Unfortunately, this is a picture of Czech art. This facility is definitely worth a visit and that is why I am showing a website. Hostinec na Letné
*Zato velmi rád podporuji podnikatele, kteří se snaží nabídnout něco speciálního. A přesně to splňuje hostinec Na Letné. Nejprve mě překvapil interiér klasického hostince ze začátku 20. století. Dalším milým překvapením bylo velmi chutné pivo. A v neposlední řadě i skvělé jídlo. Nikdy jsem neměl tak šťavnatý kuřecí řízek doplněný bramborami se slaninou. Když jsem se dal do řeči s majitelem restaurace, zjistil jsem že kuchař je ve skutečnosti umělec, který se specializuje na Kubismus, ale není schopen se uživit. To je bohužel obraz českého umění. Toto zařízení rozhodně stojí za návštěvu a proto přikládám i internetové stránky. Hostinec na Letné *
After lunch, there was nothing left but to set out again. I had to climb to the first peak of the road, which is called Kleť. Along the way, I photographed streams and generally enjoyed the ascent.
Po obědě nezbývalo nic jiného než se opět vydat na cestu. Čekalo mě stoupání na první vrchol cesty, který se nazývá Kleť. Cestou jsem fotografoval potůčky a celkově si výstup užíval.
I also refreshed myself from one of the springs I met along the way.
Osvěžil jsem se také z jednoho z pramenů, který jsem cestou potkal.
I also picked wild strawberries to supplement some of those vitamins.
Natrhal jsem si také lesní jahody, abych doplnil i nějaké ty vitamíny.
When I arrived at the top of Kleťě, where I decided to try another of the local beers, which the locals call Kleťák. The weather at the top was not very pleasant because it was quite windy, but I found a place with a deer where it was more pleasant.
Až jsem dorazil na vrchol Kleťě, kde jsem se rozhodl zkusit další z místních piv, kterému místní říkají Kleťák. Počasí na vrcholu nebylo zrovna příjemné, protože dosti foukalo, ale našel jsem si místo u jelena, kde bylo příjemněji.
While drinking beer, I watched the birds collect crumbs from the tables.
Při pití piva jsem pozoroval ptáky, kteří sbírali drobky ze stolů.
After drinking beer, I took a few photos of the lookout tower, exchanged a few words with other tourists and went to the place where I planned to spend the night.
Po dopití piva jsem udělal několik fotek rozhledny, prohodil pár slov s dalšími turisty a vydal se k místu kde jsem plánoval strávit noc.

Wonderful walking tour with much to see and do, the region is so green full of invigorating life everywhere.
Old buildings telling stories along the road, with well established trees wish they could talk, tell the tales of years on the path!

The lime tree (Třísov) stands on the border of the former Celtic town.
The nature around the Vltava River offers many beautiful nooks and crannies all year round :-)
Would love to amble through with a guide telling of the history in nature.
It would be about writing an article with photos, but a "live tour" will not replace it :-)
Will enjoy it, never knowing if one will ever get to experience.

This region has preserved its historical face and it seemed to me that it is not so much visited by tourists, except for a few important monuments such as the castle Dívčí kámen, the town Zlatá koruna and the peak Kleť.
It would be the nature and grand guard of trees that would attract me more than the old buildings. Not having tourists would be ideal, the quieter the better!
Most of the forests are currently in a catastrophic state due to the beetle calamity due to poor management of the last 100 years, but you can find hundreds of small protected areas that are scattered throughout the Czech Republic. The same is true for large trees. Until this year, when I finally started to get to know my country properly, I found out how rich nature we really have.
Management is lacking in many parts of the world, taking nature out of balance introducing foreign entities.
Great to learn you are seeking out indigenous areas, perhaps join a forum to share your findings, helping conservation of the fauna and flora.

Cesta kolem řeky byla naprosto parádní, člověk si připadal jako by se vrátil v čase. Je to jeden z nejhezčích úseků Vltavy vůbec a to se dá říci, že jsem jí obešel už skoro celou :)
Šel jsem ten úsek po levém i pravém břehu. Levý břeh je rozhodně zajímavější :-).
