Welcome to the third installment of my journey from the Písek to the town with name Klatovy. In the previous two installments, we stuck to the Otava River. At which we will start today's journey, we will then pass through the historic town of Horažďovice and also visit the surroundings of Rabí Castle.
Vítejte u třetího pokračování mé cesty z města Písek do města Klatovy. V předchozích dvou pokračováních jsme se držely řeky Otavy. U které dnešní putování zahájíme, dále projdeme historickým městem Horažďovice a také zavítáme do okolí hradu Rabí.
By the third day, I woke up before sunrise with a plan for a morning photo shoot around the river. The conditions were absolutely ideal. A fog hung over the river bed and it looked like it would be clear from the east. Which was immediately ruined, but the light sometimes created a rather strange colored illumination of the scene.
Do třetího dne jsem se probudil před východem slunce s plánem na ranní focení v okolí řeky. Podmínky byly naprosto ideální. Nad hladinou řeky se povalovala mlha a vypadalo to, že bude od východu jasno. Což se ihned v zápětí zkazilo, ale světlo občas vytvořilo dosti divné barevné nasvícení scény.
Not far from where I spent the night there is an old stone bridge in the middle of the meadow, because there used to be a stream that changed its course and the bridge remained here.
Nedaleko od místa kde jsem přenocoval je starý kamenný most uprostřed louky, protože zde tekl potok, který změnil svoje koryto a most zde zůstal.
I continued further upstream as the sun began to break through the clouds in the east. And at that moment the surrounding landscape came to life. Anything I looked at could be an interesting photo. Even an ordinary path in the lawn.
Pokračoval jsem dále proti proudu řeky, když se slunce začalo prokousávat skrze oblačnost na východě. A v tu chvíli okolní krajina ožila. Na cokoliv jsem se zaměřil mohla být zajímavá fotografie. I třeba obyčejná cestička v trávníku.
From the mill in Horní Poříčí, I focused on details in the landscape, and I enjoyed this pastime all the way to Střelské Hošťice, where I found only a closed society. No wonder, it was Sunday morning.
Od mlýna v Horním Poříčí jsem se zaměřil na detaily v krajině a tuto zábavu jsem si užíval až do Střelských Hošťic, kde jsem nalezl pouze uzavřenou společnost. Není se čemu divit, byla totiž neděle ráno.
So I continued further in the direction of Horažďovice and at the same time I continued to photograph the minimalist details that I encountered along the way.
Pokračoval jsem tedy dále směr Horažďovice a přitom jsem pokračoval ve focení minimalistických detailů, které jsem potkal cestou.
I entered the town of Horažďovice through the old gate. He looked through several sgraffito houses and came to the former meat market. Which is called Masné krámy (Meat Shops).
Do města Horažďovice jsem vstoupil starou branou. Prohlédl si několik sgrafitových domů a došel k bývalému masnému tržišti. Kterému se říká Masné krámy.
Through a few streets I reached the courtyard of the local castle.
Skrze pár uliček jsem se dostal až na nádvoří místního zámku.
Then quickly across the square to the Červená brána (Red Gate).
Pak rychle přes náměstí k Červené bráně.
And then I headed across the square again to another stone gate through which I left the historic center of Horažďovice. To continue further to the landscape of Pošumaví.
No a pak jsem opět přes náměstí zamířil k další kamené bráně, kterou jsem opustil historické centrum Horažďovic. Abych pokračoval dále do Pošumavské krajiny.
There is another historical monument not far outside the city. This is the ruins of the Prácheň castle at the top with a height of 520 meters above sea level.
Nedaleko za městem je další historická památka. Tím je zřícenina hradu Prácheň na vrcholu s výškou 520 metrů nad mořem.
From the top I continued back to the Otava valley. Where there is a shaft carved in one of the rocks, about which there are no mentions of what was mined here. probably, but it was gold, as the area has been known to be gold-bearing since the Middle Ages.
Z vrcholu jsem pokračoval zase zpět do údolí Otavy. Kde je v jedné skalce vytesána šachta o které nejsou žádné zmínky co se zde těžilo. pravděpodobně, ale šlo o zlato, protože tato oblast je známá jako zlatonosná již od středověku.
In Velké Hydčice, I came across a natural hockey field. It can be seen that the manager of the rink did not forget to clean the nets.
Ve Velkých Hydčicích jsem narazil na přírodní hokejové hřiště. Je vidět, že správce kluziště nezapomněl uklidit branky.
As it turned out. The Otava is indeed a gold-bearing river, and I myself have tried it on my little pan, and in every attempt I have found some grain of gold. With these occasional attempts, I got as far as Rabí Castle. And since my planned journey led elsewhere than during my last visit, I could taste a new view of the castle.
Jak se ukázalo. Otava je skutečně zlatonosná řeka a sám jsem si to na svou malou pánev vyzkoušel a v každém pokusu nějaké to zrníčko zlata našel. Těmito občasnými pokusy jsem se dostal, až k hradu Rabí. A jelikož moje plánovaná cesta vedla jinudy něž při poslední návštěvě mohl jsem ochutnat nový pohled na hrad.
Just when I thought I was done shooting for the day. Another doe prepared a surprise for me. Which for some strange reason didn't run at all and let me get within about 3 meters and calmly walk past her. After this meeting, all that was left was to find a place to sleep and prepare for the next day.
Když jsem si myslel, že je s focením pro tento den konec. Překvapení si pro mě připravila ještě jedna srna. Která z nějakého divného důvodu vůbec neutíkala a nechala abych se přiblížil asi na 3 metry a v klidu kolem ní prošel. Po tomto setkání nezbývalo než najít nějaké místo na spaní a připravit se na další den.
