Ever been to a place lying deep within the Himalayas? A place so high that you can see clouds below you? A place which has been an important part of a culture? A place worshipped by millions of devotees every year?
β
If you haven't been on any of these kinds of phenomenal adventures, then you seem to be at the right place.
On a beautiful day with clouds filling the sky, I along with my family decided to go on a short trip to the magnificent Bijli Mahadev Temple. We started early in the morning in our car as the temple is distant from the city and stands on the top of a mountain.
We mainly used the Kullu-Manali National Highway for making our way to the temple. We had to stop at the base camp as the place was not approachable by road entirely. It is located in an area with connectivity issues. It was like a different place cut off from our world.
After arriving at the base camp, we parked our cars and planned to walk our way to the temple. It was a long hike which took 2-3 hours to complete but when we reach the top, it was definitely worth the effort.
Horses are generally used for the transfer of food and other necessities. We also had an option for a horse ride but decided against it. The place has mobility issues but all the effort feels worth it when you reach the top and experience the serenity of this place.
The path to the Bijli Mahadev temple was covered in greenery.
When I gazed at the cloudy sky, all I could see were the pine trees.
We passed through a narrow road surrounded by a thick jungle.
The path was constructed around 50 years ago. Earlier, people just used to climb the mountain to get to the top.
As we gained height, we could get a clear view of the whole Kullu valley.
We also found out that the local people were engaged in apple cultivation. We had a few apples and they were the best. Himalayan apples are famous all over the world.
Finally after toiling for 3 hours straight, we were able to reach the top of the mountain. The small campsites were visible from distance. The top was a flat piece of land covered by grass.
We were at an elevation of 8,100 feet. We even left the forest cover behind us and lost sight of any kind of vegetation.
This time I looked up and saw a bright blue sky covered in clouds.
The views were surreal. You could all the nearby mountain ranges. The picturesque place was untroubled and calm.
The tranquillity of the place was preserved in its panoramic views.
Everyone was enjoying the soothing vibes of that place. It was calm and quiet.
There were a few makeshift shops at the top.
We eventually arrived at the Bijli Mahadev temple after a rewarding trek of 3 km.

A few houses on top of the mountain.
The adorable views from the other side of the mountain were heavenly. After visiting this captivating place, I discovered its ravishing, unspoiled beauty. The place offers breathtaking views of the nearby green hills. I highly recommend everyone to visit this place.

Dear @sohamghai, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency,
