The grand entrance to the Great Himalayan National Park which boasts of rich biodiversity.
Hey There!
I know I haven't posted much here lately and have not been consistent throughout but now I am back at it with some really exciting content and life experiences to share with you all. So buckle up your seatbelts, and get ready for a long and fulfilling journey with me.
This time I went to the Great Himalayan National Park with my family and friends. The National Park lies right in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is spread over a whopping 1200km2 and has a huge variety of animals which are very exotic and found only in this area.
The National Park has a scenic view with diverse plant and animal species. It is situated at a very high altitude. All these factors make it the perfect place to visit for relaxing in the lap of nature.
It was a cold, windy day when we decided to go for a small family vacation together.
We planned to explore the Tirthan Valley and all the prominent tourist attractions in the area. We finally decided to go to The Great Himalayan National Park.
We started our drive in the early wee hours as the place was a bit far away from our home.
The view on the way was really beautiful and mesmerizing. We saw scenic mountains and waterfalls cutting through them.
Narrow roads cut across the mountains and the serenity of the whole place was just unimaginable.
It was like another world full of peace and harmony. Nature seemed so calm and undisturbed. The atmosphere was filled up with positive vibes.
The Great Himalayan National Park is located on the banks of the Beas River. You can enter the park by paying a nominal fee. There is a proper trail in the park where you can see information boards about various birds and animals which are found there.
There weren't much visible species around but we did learn about the various species inhabiting the park.
The park was established in 1984 and it was integrated on 7th May 2022. Coincidently, we went to the park on the first anniversary of the park right one year after its inauguration.
There was also an amphitheatre in the park. It was really beautiful and felt like a great place to sit and have some fun.
I also found a cute little doggo on the trail. 🥰
We walked through the entire trail which took us around 4 hours to complete. It was a joyful experience.
While on the trail, we also came across the Suspension Bridge. It was a small bridge made of wood and built upon a now dried-up waterfall.
The Great Himalayan National Park is the perfect place to chill if you need to get away from the hustle-bustle of the cities and take a break for yourself. The place offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
