What is your favorite fruit? Mine's are blueberries, not American ones, but rather a wild one. Smaller and filled with all that blueberry taste. Almost every year we take a trip to the Austrian hills called Filzmoos. This place is green, clean, fresh and energetically charged. Our trip usually means hiking around and eating as much as possible of blueberries. These are pictures from my last visit in August 2021. Please come with me on a walk through the Alpine wonderland called Filzmoos.
The town itself is set in the valley and lives off mostly touristic activities. After all, around Filzmoos are the perfect mountains for winter craze and summer pleasures. That explains why a rather small town is filled with big buildings. Lots of wood and plenty of details give houses a fairy-tale touch. In fact, I bet that is the vibe the town is aiming for. Why else would people keep so many flower pots? Flowering plants not only look stunning but also provide food and shelter for insects. Then again, the colorful town is the perfect contrast to the natural world everyone came here to see.
Up there in the mountains, green and grey are dominating the landscape. Of course, there is much more to it than colors. It is about life, with all ups and downs one takes on the way to the peak. I loved every step of my way and wasn’t even focused on the high peaks. My go with the flow approach usually ended with the task of eating as many blueberries as I possibly could and then meditating with the blue smile. Before that, I walked around the lower parts of Filzmoos.
I haven’t been to a place with so many water sources as there are in Filzmoos. At times it felt like small streams are everywhere and water can be found even at the top of the plateau. The best part of all was that there were no mosquitoes. Believe it or not, there were no mosquitoes whatsoever at Filzmoos until the last year. For the first time, locals were greeted with a buzz at the dinner table.
As I said at the beginning, this place is super charged with energy. Some are claiming this geolocation gas positive energetic charge and I do believe them. After a few days hiking here around, I feel like a newborn baby. On top of that, it is all this nature and water streams... We have this as a family trip and I think I will pass it down to my family as well.
Thank you for your attention and can't wait for my next blog.

Wow 😍. Seeing your post made me want to go there. These views are wonderful. I also like blueberries. But they don't grow in our country. If I can, I like to try growing them here 🙊.
