Hello Hivers! it's me @sonjamorz back with me first blog of the week. For now let me bring you to my one of my favorites resort in Cebu.
To be in El Mar Beach Resort is pure magic. First of all, the entire resort was very clean. The water turned out to be sparkling and the white sand beach was pristine. I really liked the fact that there were palm trees growing, offering shade to people who want to chill out. It was relatively open and, therefore, as the true beach bum that I am, it was even better.
Among other things, one of the highlights of the entire trip was all the different things that can be done here. Line up the kayaks that could be seen resting close to the shoreline, arms open for whoever would like to take a dip in it. I decided to ride a kayak on this vacation, and I think it was just breath-taking gliding on the still calm, turquoise waters. For those who would prefer to indulge themselves, napping on some of the lounge chairs under the trees with simply an endless view would suffice.
And aside from that, El Mar also has a pretty sunset view. I stayed here until nightfall, and it was totally worth it. The sundown view was breathtaking, I was dumbfounded when I witnessed the sun setting over the horizon. The sky became a really beautiful blend of orange, pink, and purple hues a magical end to the day.
What really delighted me was that anyone could visit El Mar Beach Resort. Solitary souls, groups of friends, or families can easily interact and discover preferences to savor. Families gathered for picnics on the beach, couples having romantic walks on the stretch of the shore, and lonely travelers like me just enjoying nature's beauty. The staff of the resort was also very friendly and accommodating. They made sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed. Their hospitality made my visit even more enjoyable.
El Mar Beach Resort is hard to express in words. The blue water is clear, stretching as far as the eye can see, and the white sand is soft underfoot. You get that tropical vibe as the palm trees line the beach, and the fresh sea breeze is absolutely refreshing. Every corner of the resort is Instagram worthy, so don't forget your camera. If you're one who loves the outdoors, this place is indeed a dream come true. It is an excellent place for unwinding and recharging because of its tranquil atmosphere and natural beauty. I spent hours just walking along the beach and relishing the soothing sound of waves.
Getting to El Mar Beach Resort is very easy. If you come from Cebu City, you can easily find a bus or van going north and just ask the driver to drop you in Sogod. From there, a tricycle ride will bring you to the resort. The travel time is approximately two to three hours, depending on traffic; however, fantastic views are part of the ride making the trip interesting.

Visited El Mar Beach Resort in Sogod, Cebu very recently, and from all that I can say, it was an experience worth the time and money. Quite the getaway for those wanting just to lay back, commune with nature, and take a reprieve from the hustle bustle of tamed life. Immediately upon arrival, the atmosphere was the really tranquil feel of the place, spelled out by the combinations of a series of waves, rustling palm trees, and the warm sunshine.
