Taganga, a small fishing village located just a few minutes from Santa Marta, Colombia, was the scene of one of the most special trips of my life, special because it is the first trip I make with my husband, it was a surprise this trip to Colombia, as that was a gift he gave me and we decided to venture to this magical destination with our daughter, and every moment we spent there became an unforgettable memory. Its rustic charm, its relaxed atmosphere and the warmth of its people made us feel in a true paradise of the Colombian Caribbean, I can say that I made some nice friendships there and I plan to return someday.

Taganga, un pequeño pueblo de pescadores ubicado a tan solo unos minutos de Santa Marta, Colombia, fue el escenario de uno de los viajes más especiales de mi vida, especial porque es el primer viaje que hago con mi esposo, fue una sorpresa este viaje a colombia ya que ese fue un regalo que el me hizo y decidimos aventurarnos a este destino mágico junto a nuestra hija, y cada momento que pasamos allí se convirtió en un recuerdo inolvidable. Surrounded by the imposing mountains that kiss the sea and bathed by crystal clear waters, Taganga is a place where time seems to stand still and it has its magic, we walked through its dusty streets, full of colours and vibrant murals, and we let ourselves be enveloped by the hospitality of its people. Fishing is still the lifeblood of the town, and it was wonderful to see the locals returning with their nets full at dawn, while we enjoyed one of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen, it was breathtaking and unforgettable to experience.
One of the main attractions of this village is its proximity to the Tayrona National Park, one of the most impressive ecological destinations in Colombia, which I plan to visit soon. From there, we took a boat to Playa Grande, where my daughter played and bathed for the first time on the beach, and we dived into the crystal clear waters, exploring the coral reefs teeming with marine life. It was a magical experience, where nature gave us moments of peace and connection, I deeply loved the pictures.

Uno de los mayores atractivos de Taganga es su proximidad al Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona, uno de los destinos ecológicos más impresionantes de Colombia que algun dia pienso ir a conocer . Desde allí, tomamos una lancha hacia Playa grande, donde mi hija jugó y se baño por primera vez en la playa nosotros nos sumergimos en sus aguas cristalinas, explorando los arrecifes de coral llenos de vida marina. Fue una experiencia mágica, donde la naturaleza nos regaló momentos de paz y conexión ame profundamente las fotos
For the adventurous, this place offers unforgettable experiences. My husband and I were encouraged to try scuba diving for the first time at one of the certified schools in town. To feel the immensity of the Caribbean Sea and see its biodiversity up close was something indescribable. I met Jose, an instructor from the place and he offered us the best prices and without hesitation we ventured, I also explored a hiking route that took me to a spectacular viewpoint and left me with an experience that I will tell you about later, from where I contemplated the immensity of the ocean and we marvelled at the beauty of the landscape.
This corner is not only nature and adventure, its vibrant nightlife also surprised us, bars and restaurants in front of the sea offered us unforgettable nights, with good music and tropical rhythms that made us dance under the stars, the gastronomy of the place made us fall in love, especially the fried fish with patacones and coconut rice, a dish that left us wanting to come back for more.
Para los aventureros, Taganga ofrece experiencias inolvidables. Mi esposo y yo nos animamos a probar el buceo por primera vez en una de las escuelas certificadas del pueblo. Sentir la inmensidad del mar Caribe y ver su biodiversidad de cerca fue algo indescriptible conoci a Jose instructor y nos ofrecio los mejores precios y nos aventuramos,también explore una ruta de senderismo que me llevo a un mirador espectacular y me dejo una experiencia que luego contare , desde donde contemple la inmensidad del océano y nos maravillamos con la belleza del paisaje.
Pero Taganga no es solo naturaleza y aventura; su vibrante vida nocturna también nos sorprendió. Bares y restaurantes frente al mar nos ofrecieron noches inolvidables, con música en vivo y ritmos tropicales que nos hicieron bailar bajo las estrellas. La gastronomía del lugar nos enamoró, especialmente el pescado frito con patacones y arroz con coco, un plato que nos dejó con ganas de volver por más.

A pesar de su creciente popularidad, Taganga sigue conservando su esencia bohemia y auténtica. Es un destino que nos invitó a desconectarnos, a vivir con calma y a disfrutar de los pequeños placeres de la vida.
