One thing is to be in a camp with the comforts of the city and another is to be in the jungle making your way through trees with thorns and mud on your feet, walking in the jungle was one of the scheduled activities of the trip, the most daring accepted the challenge and we got a few hours to walk a path guided by an indigenous expert in the area, walking is very difficult because you sink your feet completely in the water and depending on your size it can reach knee height, so taking out each foot to take a step is very tiring, you have to be careful where to put your hands because the trees and branches almost all have thorns of several centimeters and it is very hot in the area so they taught us to get water from the same plants to continue.

They also gave us a demonstration to climb the trees, the tour was fast because the mosquitoes and mosquitoes wanted to kill everyone, there were even some people who covered everything but their eyes, they looked very funny, after the tour in the jungle they taught us in the camp to make fire in a rudimentary way.

The Waraos Indians are people who also celebrate, there was a night that I could not sleep because I heard many people moving down the river in curiaras with a radio at full volume, I found it very curious, since there is no electricity outside the camp, the next day we visited a Waraos family and they were up at dawn with alcoholic drinks and music, this family has a solar panel that allows them to charge the batteries of a bugle, amazing! I guess it was a gift from some tourist.

The new generations of Waraos have features of other cultures, it is evident the mixture of other races, some have light colored eyes and blond hair where you can conclude the miscegenation that exists, women have marked on their faces the innocence and suffering, they look older than in reality they have for their work to support their families. This is a trip that I will remember for a long time, I invite you to enjoy this experience at least once in your life.
