Good morning everybody!
I’m here after a tired day. I have a little headache. A cup of coffee will do me good.
I wanted to write a travel post I hope you enjoy. I really like traveling. But I guess everybody likes that. 😊
Our stop today is Muğla. I’m lucky because I’ve been to Muğla many times. My cousin went to university in Muğla. So I often went to visit her. We went once with mu husband. (Sure he was my fiance back then.) I will tell you about Azmak River today.
We live in Izmir. 210 km from Muğla to Izmir. We arrived in Muğla after a two and a half hour journey. We traveled with our own car. But there are three airpots in Muğla. You can easily reach Muğla bu bus, plane or car. You can also use the sea route.
When I first saw the Azmak River, I was almost enchanted. A wonderful river with reeds and ducks next to it. Azmak is a freshwater river. You can see colorful fish in the river.
You should definitely take a boat tour here. The boat tour takes about half an hour. Last year we paid 25 lira for a 2 person boat tour. So a little more than three dollars. You can also rent a canoe and travel with it.
One of the most important features of the Azmak River is that the water temperature does not exceed 8 degrees during 4 seasons. So it’s pretty cold. At least for me! 😊
Since the Azmak River has soda, it has many healings. It rejuvenates and beautifies the skin. You will also feel vigorous because the water is very cold.
There are many restaurants and cafes bu the river. You can enjoy at the tables set up in the Azmak River. You can enjoy your meal with your feet in the water.
I could not find the courage to enter the water! 😊
Azmak River means abundant oxygen and being in touch with nature. I had plenty of time here to drink coffee and read books. Of course ducks can be your guests! 😊
There are local flavors that you can should definitely taste. For example tarhana soup, cokertme kebab, sour fish, stuffed zucchini flowers, keskek, Muğla meatballs, stuffed mullet.
Do not worry about accommodation. You can find accommodation comfortably even without prior reservation. Let Akyaka houses be your accommodation priority.
Azmak River was a great experience for me. I still get on the boat every time I go. I love the peace and quiet there. There’s officially another world under water. It makes you feel like in a fairy tale. I hope you like it too.
