As you go down the cave, it amazes and scares you at the same time. The holy temple inside the cave takes you to a spiritual life while the cave structure makes you praise the beauty of nature's creation.

Pokhara City is known for its wonderful deep down caves and water sources. Gupteshwor is one of the main cave in the city, with it's scary and wonderful natural designs. The cave has different godly temples down below, which brings thousands of pilgrims every year.

The Gate of Gupteshwor welcomes every visitors. The name comes after the Lord Shiva(Mahadev). As you enter , each side of the corridor has a souvenir shops with local made goods and items. Usually, kathmandu is the best place for souvenir s but you can get one related to cave if you would like. (The cave is right down below these shops)

As you pass these shops, the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave spiral ladder lures you in. However, the ladder is to go down below.
The ticket counter is up above and it only takes around 50 Nrs (for Nepali) to get the cave. There is a security check that you have to go through to the cave.

With different dieties statue and modern designs, the ladder marks the holyness of spot. Some statute are of the erotic kind on the wall beside ladder.

As you pass these modern statues put on the wall, you get to enter the cave. The cave contains low light and usually dripping of the water. The cave is down below a crowded town, that amazes me in the realization of withstand power of the cave. But, for how long?

As of it's underground, the water drizzles in the wall of cave, as you can see slippery ladders. This place has built in modern ladders after 1991.

It's quite steepy on the first way down. The addition of lights makes it easier. However, it's also scary as you think you are already 40 meter down below the land surface by now.

Patterns on the wall brings all the attention. It has low visibility. A focused torchlight could get you best view

This place goes after the temple here. However, as of the photographic restriction couldn't capture the holy space. It's beautiful. There are guards around for the care and security

More of 140 meter will be covered as you pass this small passage. It's starts getting more cool and wet from here now.

The lights in this mini passage provides good view. The water drips around the stone and makes the surface slippery

The cave main section is amazing. The views and designs are very artistic. And, I repeat it's alot of scary. You could hear the waterfall down below. The bats could be seen hovering around the wall.
One big town resides above this cave.
As, I get out of the cave, I started sweating alot. The ladder climbing upstairs back can be hard for some, so old age and child's are not recommended here.

Hope you enjoyed going through the blog.
Regards
