The Fife Coastal Path in Scotland runs from Kincardine in the Firth of Forth and then goes up to Newburgh in the Firth of Tay and goes through a whole host of quaint wee villages and along some gorgeous coastline. Every so often I will walk on this section and I was here a couple of weeks ago.
I mean how gorgeous is that view?
Today we are on the path around the village of Burntisland where I used to live. Please note that ALL of the photographs that are in this article have been taken by my with my Canon PowerShot HS70 bridge camera.
So let's put on our walking shoes and head off, oh yes don't forget your water!
This is Burntisland bay, the headland leads to Kinghorn, I came via road which runs parallel to the beach which you will see in the next couple of pictures.
This is the bay and has a great curving beach which is popular in the summer.
In front of the church you will see the local double decker bus. We use to have a coastal service every twenty minutes but they cut that back to every thirty minutes!
There is a dive school and a little boatyard here.
Can you spot the bridges?
Some prizes if you know how many there are and their names, clue is of course that we are on the Firth of Forth!
You can either walk on the beach or via paths to the back and this alleyway connects them.
You have a choice of paths to take, we will take the path that runs closest to the water.
We are in Scotland and what more is Scottish than a thistle. They are bonnie and even weeds can be thought of as #alwaysaflower and yes I thought of you again Denise @dswigle You need to be careful as this part of the path can be quite overgrown with shrubs and weeds!
Once back on the path there is a ruined house, the thickness of the walls are in feet. Would be toasty in the winter.
I don't know when it was abandoned and now is home to drinking parties as the inside is strewn with bottles and broken glass.
You would have got absolutely stunning views from your front sitting room!
The sand gives way to rocks at this point and there is some great fishing to be had. The codling round here is absolutely delicious!
Walking round the headland we see the pallet factory and the port.
You used to able to walk on the sea wall to the port, but they are blocking it off!
And look the bridges again!
The first bridge is the Forth bridge for trains and often incorrecty called the Forth rail bridge, it is the Forth bridge end of story!
There are various small boat tours that go and up down the islands in the Forth
Do you know the name of that fancy castle across the water?
It looks awefully grand and stately!
When it gets windy these wee yachts can get up a fair pace, although this one was being used to fish from!
I shall leave with a picture of our capital city Edinburgh and Arthur's seat and Salisbury Craigs, I have climbed up them many a time in my youth!
I hope that you have enjoyed our little stroll along the coastal path in Fife looking at the views across the Firth of Forth in Scotland and thank you for visiting.
PS Pop down the names of the bridges in the comment section for a wee surprise or three!

Ahhh, Kinghorn, it's where my family room is when we were wee. I have many odd memories from them but they make me smile!
ah Kinghorn, the folk there are an odd breed at times!
Scotland is still on my need to visit once list , lovely images of an unknown are for me :)
It is a beautiful place when the sun shines 🤣
as long as it ain't +30 degrees celcius like we have her ein holland this week , i'll be fine 😁
jeje well it was almost 30 today, but normally the most is mid 20s not in the 30s.
Fantastic Ed. The difference some good weather makes!
Thanks Steve, yeah absolutely, gorgeous weather makes it all fantastic:)
Lovely place with your lovely photography sir🥰
Thanks Mitch, it is fun to capture beautiful scenery :)
The remnant of that house is an eye sore, at least it can still serve a purpose for those drinking. That weed or should i call it pineapple like flower looks poisonous
Not sure if it is poisonous but they have leaves that are prickly and jag you!
A really old building and I am not surprised that people did not take all the stone away!
Such gorgeous views 😍
yeah can never get enough of them :)
It's a good day to be alive and thriving. What a lovely place to visit indeed! Thank you for sharing your photos and stories. It's great to learn about and visit new places virtually for now. Have a great weekend!

Hi, Super Ed! What a great ride you have given us, the views are gorgeous. I would never get tired of seeing that sea. You are becoming more pro every day with your new toy :)
Then the bridges ;) I did a wee research and the three bridges are called Forth Bridge, Forth Road Bridge & Queensferry Crossing.
Someone beat me to it :D It's the first thing I checked in the comments lol!
jeje kuya put them down anyway, it shows you read my post and I don't mind giving something to you too!
You're lucky it got me interested lol!
jeje woohoo it got you interested kuya, i'll take that!
LOL, Kuboy:)
🤣🤣
hmm we can't tip a comment?
Hola Hola Super Eli, yes I thought I would put a post up. The toy is great and yes I love the sea and in my blood.

Yes it was a good day, and just put on a pot of beans to have over the weekend:)
Aww, Super Ed, muah
I hope those beans turned out yummy 😋
Have a super duper weekend 😽
The bridge is somewhat similar to the one here in HK.
.it looks a tranquil place to unwind 😊..
I like all your shots, especially the sailing boat and that school that looks like a church or palace for me 😅..
ah yes I was watching the sailing boat for ages and seeing if they caught any fish 😉
It is a great place to unwind and just walk and explore and sit on rocks and be happy to be alive!
I thought you will include ducky 🤣
jaja no ducky, I might go see ducky for you tomorrow and say Janey says hi!
Btw how are you feeling?
Haha. I might feel better if I see ducky hehe..im doing fine now 😊
jeje and now I have a mission to capture saying hello to Janey!
Am so glad that you are feeling better :)
It looks awesome and I love the Scottish names given to things and places.
Cheers for that.
Erm....four bridges? 😅
hehe 3 bridges
It is a great place to unwind and it is funny I didn't think of the names being particularly Scottish, but in hindsight I guess you are right!
Hehehe………my normal luck 😅
hehe the old close but no cigar malarky!
Hahaha……classic.
Why do I hear a Scottish accent in my head as I mentally read Firth on Forth? lol! I don't even know how to pronounce those correctly :D :D
Fantastic photos, kuya! I like how the water seems so calm and overall hue of them is pretty. That camera is doing its job I say.
I spot someone fishing or is he? :D
hehe it is the rolling of the r's Firrrth of Forrrth kuya!
Thanks for that, yes the camera does its job, the user of the camera needs todo his job!
The water was really calm that day, I need toget there in winter and see if I can take some rough shots of water:)
Yes he was fishing but did not catch anything whilst I was watching!
Super Eli was quick to gun, but name the bridges kuya you never know what will happen!
Like a tongue twister that one lol!
Ah, so humble. You do take great shots, kuya :D
The water doesn't freeze over?
Too bad. I still hope he did catch something.
Okay, I'll go for First Bridge, Second Bridge and Third Bridge. They named it wrong. There's no Forth! lol!
No that is a big body of water that runs to the sea, it will never freeze over. It does not get that cold.
hehe well the third bridge is a replacement for the second bridge and the first bridge is the pride and joy and one of the most iconic rail bridges in the world.
There is a forth bridge but it is not in close proximity to the three bridges!
You are too kind kuya, but practice does make us better:)
Oh, I see. I haven't read what the bridges were all about. Now I know :)
hehe and the rail bridge is how we will get to Edinburgh to see the 🐼
Oh, I see. Well, it's just a railway away, kuya. Or is it? Go see them pandas :D
You have given us a great photo tour of the Fife coastal path. Those are awesome captures.
!PIZZA
Thank so much for your kind words of encouragement!

Awesome, thank you:)
Salamuch for this beautiful stroll Tito Ed. The views are refreshing and water so calm. Your shots are absolutely gorgeous!
I guess someone had already named the bridges hehe. One is quite similar to that in Lantau Island in HK especially with the mountain in the background :)
Walang anuman CJ, yes it was a gorgeous day:)
Hehe Eli was quick to the punch and Jane did say one was like a bridge in HK:)
Oh, that's cool Tito Ed, sis Eli getting the answers :)
I'm sure Jane and I were talking about the same bridge hehe.
yes she was quick to do her research CJ
Am sure Jane and you were on about the same bridge which I have to google and see what it is!
Sis Eli is really quick to find the names of those other bridges.
This is a glimpse of the Tsing Ma bridge in HK Tito Ed. Pardon the poor shot. I was on a bus to the airport when this was taken many years ago, lol! It was a long, suspension bridge that connected Lantau Island to the city.
ah ok so like the one we call Queensferry Crossing and the newest of our three!
Eli was fast on the draw CJ:)
What a beautiful photo and awesome walk around.
Thanks Than, it is a great place to photograph:)
