Location:
Barangay Punta Silum is located at Municipality of Manticao, this is the last Barangay of the said Municipality and it also has a boundary areas in this place. From barangay Poblacion Manticao, it needs to travel at about 45 minutes depends on how traffic the road is. Riding vehicle just like Tuk-Tuk, tricycle, bus or jeeps is also good. This boundary place is not quite far from the National road. Just walk for a few kilometers before we reach the place. At middle of the forestry areas was this big concrete written the word "Boundary" it indicates that this place is the border between Municipality of Manticao and Lugait.
Near at the concrete block is this place full of trees. There are lots of trees can be seen here and it was already preserved. Because of that, there are lots of Animals like birds perching at the tree branches building it's nest and fly from one place to another. Some of the trees can be seen and found here are Native Lanhan Molave tree and Mahogany tree. This are some of the hardwood trees found here in the Philippines particularly here in Mindanao. It is good to use in construction porpuses just like house walls, floors and even house foundation. This trees lives for almost 100 years according to the tree experts. It grows bigger and wider and aside of that, it keeps the place cool and relaxing.
There are some coconut trees grows near at the border point and it can also give a cool and amazing views of the place.
Also, this very old Balete tree can give a shady and cool areas. According to the elders I've asked for about this tree, it already lives almost 80 years ago. The branches contains lots of roots hanging on it and a big roots and branches. It is located at the cliff where sea water can be seen below. This was also preserved by the Government and let it live for a long time.
This rocky road is connected at Barangay Calangahan road, the place were I went last blog. It served as a short to all residents here and it can help for them to avoid many vehicles passing and running by at the National Road. Billboards are also at the place, supported with durable metal bars. This road was already developed 2 Years ago and it is also connected at the National Road.
This is the part of the Main road located at Barangay Punta Silum, it contains four lanes and it is very hard to cross to other side of the place because of the vehicles running at the National Road. On each side of the road is the cliff of solid stones covered with wild grass and peebles.
This place is totally commercialized already because of the Electricity, cables wires, Posts and even Cellsite network towers just like this. This towers gives a great contributions here if we based in communication using cellphones and computers. This two Towers have its great parts and rules for the service of the People through communication, this structures are been built many years ago and it keeps standing majestic serving the people by means of technology. It built with solid metal bars, concrete walls and durable cables supporting the tower so that it wont leaning. Big screws and bolts are properly placed and screwed so that it wont also falled down everytime when there is an earthquake.
From high cliff at the border area can also be seen this great over view of Deep blue sea. There are lots of big trees grows at the cliff and it helps so that the road wont be collapse or been eroded. Traveling in this place is very fun, enjoyable and relaxing. It is good that this area was already preserved to help the Mother Nature. Thank you for visiting and reading my post, have a safe travel everyone.
