Location:
Sitio Makawa is located at the heart of the mountainous places in Naawan, Misamis Oriental. If we take a walk from the main and National road, it takes a few hours of doing walking and hiking adventure. It takes a few kilometers away, crossing the river and climbing the mountains before we reached up the place.
There are few houses built near at the mountain and some of it are built at the step slope of the Hill. Some of the house are made of light materials just like lumber, planks, bamboos and any other hard wood things. There are also some houses that are made of concrete walls and floors but only few of it. People who lives in this place are all farmers and they cultivated and developed the place into a farming areas including at the top of the mountain. Not all mountains here at the Sitio contains a soil, there are also parts of the place that contains of solid rock particles.
Almost 10 years have already past when a storm hit the place. This big hole located at the spacious areas of the Sitio was hit by a giant water sprouts or "Buhawe" in local term. It was hit in this place resulting this big hole. As many years goes by, the hole was already covered with wild grass and trees.
The place only contains a few of rocks that is why it is very easy to cracks resulting a landslide or big cracks due to earthquakes. This big cracks were the roots of the Manggo trees already shown because of the big cracks due to heavy rains and floods. It was already many years has past and the place is also started covered with wild grass and wild plants.
If we talked about big and tall trees, Sitio Makawa also have those kind. Some of it are Germilina, Antipolo and Molave trees. This is very common and popular kind of trees can be seen here and some of it are best for any construction materials just like house walls, floors and foundations. This tall and big trees helps the surroundings to have a cool and relaxing place and views because of the greenery sceneries.
Manggo trees and banana plants are also common here but it is very helpful to all residents here specially for their primary source of income. Sitio Makawa contains a fertile soil because of the dry grass decaying here. Planting crops and other valuable plants and vegetables are the best here, it will really grows bigger and healthier. Most of the plants are planted on the slope of the hill that is why the place is truly developed and cultivated. Some of the trees produces more fruits already and the residents are already harvested it and sell some at the market. Almost 150 banana plants are already planted in this spacious farm land according to some residents here.
This Sitio is near at the River, this place particularly this rocky road will straight to the river and sometimes this road will submerged by the water everytime when there is a big flood happens. Despite of that, it keeps the area beautiful and relaxing because of the big trees can be seen just like this one, we called it Acacia trees and it grows at the cliff.
This road was newly developed and serve as a shortcut to all residents living at the mountainous place. It is a simple road trail and the only thing can pass is the motorcycles and people only. They also preserved some of the place at the Sitio were many mahogany trees are planted, soon this will be a forest park and this is a good kind of activities that can help the Mother Nature. Visiting and exploring Sitio Makawa is very fun and enjoyable, specially those relaxing and wonderful views.

The place is beautiful 😍,a good place far from the pollution from the city. Eventhough it was struck by calamities before, it seems it has never been affected 😃.
Exactly Sis, people wants to lived in this kind of place, they can be able to plant different kinds of vegetables and crops. The surroundings are also fresh and cool.
