Ziro valley | Apatani tribe | The Mountain Sheep

Introduction :- Hello hivers its a pleasent day today. I hope you all are doing well. So last week I visited a very beautiful valley which is also in World heritage site of UNESCO. Ziro is also famous for Apatani tribe. Apatani tribe is famous for their rich culture as they have their own religion which is inspired by the nature and they have a sign which is a combination of sun and moon.

Story :- So the story starts from the expedition of women by Amazing Namastey foundation. It is named as Women On Wheels. Because all the women drive their cars to Guwahati to Ziro valley.
There were 17 ladies in the group and they have 4 cars to drive by themselve. Its about 818 kms (approx.) round trip. So on the third day we reached to Ziro. First I was very much excited to see the beauty of this beautiful valley. When I reached Ziro I realised that it is one of the dreamland of mine. I used to see these type of landscapes in my dream.
I met kids there while on the way. We stayed in a very beautiful homestay names as Abasa homestay. This is one of the best homestays where celebrities used to stay during the Ziro festival.
After checkin we went to the home of a Apatani tribel family. They made food Apatani food for us. Apatani ladies used to have tattoos on their faces because they are very beautiful thats why in old days Men from outside used to kidnap them so thats why they made themself ugly to not get kidnapped.
Apatani tribe do organic farming. They put fishes in between the fields of wheat. They eat all the pests and work as pestisides.
These two Apatani tribel women made food for all of us. They also made their local tea. They also tell about their culture and and shared a very good time with us we clicked their pictures and talk with them and shared a good bond after showing all the things of their house they said bye in their own traditional eay in which they hold hands together and sing a song in their traditional language and dance till whole people come out from the house holding hands in hands. It was a very different experience from a normal life. But it was wonderful.
A very few people live in ziro as compared to a big city. Only around 12 thousand people live there. Ziro is 118km from its state capital Itanagar. And it also have its own airport. Which is operated by the indian airforce and only Alliance air flight service is there. There is also a Railway station in Naharlagun which is almost 100 kms from Ziro.
It is a must visit place in Northeast india. so thats it for the blog see you soon with another blog.
