If at first the travellers are just there to have fun and enjoy a place that doesn't exist around them, over time, travelling similarly carves out sensitivity, and not a few people even make travelling a spiritual sharpener.

Such is the experience of Inanike Agusta, a flight attendant for one of Indonesia's largest airlines. From her experience flying to many places, Ina began to explore her artistic sensibilities into a painting. Over time, she came to own a large collection of her personal paintings. Ina also claims to have gained a different perspective on nature, culture, and human life.

For this reason, Inanike opened an exhibition at a venue in South Jakarta. This very unique installation is titled WINGS OF TIME.

From entering the main room of pamerna Inanike, we are immediately treated to the installation of a large orange suitcase flying with two wide wings made of embroidered threads. Visitors are invited to explore the aesthetic journey of the creator.

I got this information from an Instagram post. Coincidentally, the installation opened during my time off work, so I was able to go straight to the exhibition venue at D Gallery, South Jakarta.

The installation is held in a cafe that is also a gallery, so if you are done looking at Ine's collection, you can also go to the cafe section to relax and enjoy the menu available.

Entry to the exhibition is free of charge. There is a group of works by Ina depicting Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo. On the other hand, Ina also depicts many corners in the cities of the countries she has visited. There are many others.

In addition, Ina's works also have a variety of shapes, ranging from standard city, round and hexagonal. All are beautiful and magical. As I savoured one piece after another, I also felt transported to the cities that Inanike depicted on her canvases.

That was my trip to Inanika Agusta's installation space. Hopefully it can inspire you. See you in my next travel story.
