Hello fellow hivers! How are you today? Hoping everyone is feeling alright. For today's blog I would like to share some attraction in our town Dalaguete. Last year my niece and her husband together with their son took their vacation here in Philippines and they spend couple of days in our province. They both working in Dubai my niece and her husband so every once a year their company allows them to take vacation for a month. It was a delightful afternoon after our lunch my niece told me if we can go somewhere, she wants to go out to breath some fresh air, she would like that her son can embrace the beauty of nature since their coming from a dessert country. So, I recommended the Mt. Talongon flower garden, and she said it's up for me. It's just 25-30 minutes drove away from our house.
Mt. Talongon Flower Garden is located at sitio Alang-alang Mantalongon Dalaguete, Southern Cebu. Approximately three hours away from the city. This attraction is like a paradise full of different varieties and colorful flower species.
HOW TO GET THERE
By Commute: Take a bus via Cebu-Oslob from the South Bus Terminal in Cebu City, it takes 2 to 3 hours journey. The bus fare if air conditioned is 120 pesos. Get off at Poblacion Dalaguete and hire motorcycle or habal-habal. The fare ranges from 100-150 pesos per head for about 40 minutes ride to the destination.
The entrance fee is very affordable for only fifty pesos per head. The operating hours is from eight in the morning until five in the afternoon.
In this area the plants are newly planted it will take months waiting these flowers to bloom beautifully. We took pictures here and there my niece and her husband appreciate the place so much, one of our memories to keep.
Every corner was a feast for the eyes, the garden bursting with colors and fragrance. The main attraction is the Sunflower, it was stunning. It's an experience that nourishes our soul and leaves us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
After strolling at the garden, my daughter was hungry she requested to eat pizza, so we look for a pizza restaurant. Me and niece were having our coffee while my husband and her husband took some beer.
It was indeed a great day for us. We're having fun and enjoyed it so much. It's a place where I find solace, inspiration and a deep connection to the natural world. It is a peaceful escape for those people need relaxation.
