Hello hivers, this is my first time posting here in worldmappin, hope everyone is doing well. For today's blog I would like to share famous attraction here in Cebu Province.
Osmeña Peak is located in Barangay Patong in Badian Cebu but is most conveniently accessible through Barangay Mantalongon, Dalaguete. It's known as the Highest Point in Cebu having 1,013M above sea level. This mountain is popular for its stunning cliffs and rock formations.
How to get there?
By Commute: Take a bus via Cebu-Oslob from the South Bus Terminal in Cebu City, it takes 2 to 3 hours journey. Get off at Poblacion Dalaguete and hire motorcycle or habal-habal. The fare ranges from 150-200 pesos per head for about 45 minutes ride to the destination. Upon arrival, we will sign our names in their logbook at the Tourism Center and we have to pay 50 pesos for the entrance fee. The management of Osmeña Peak Tourism Center provides a tour guide, and we have to pay additional 100 pesos. We can also buy souvenirs in the Tourism Center. For those visitors who wants to stay overnight there are lodges and designated area for camping, but the tourists will bring their own tent. Some tourists want to stay overnight because they want to see the stunning sunrise and sunset views.
My travel buddy were my two sister and my niece. It's a scenic hike, tiring but the view from the top is worth it. Osmeña Peak was a great place. We have fun and quick hiking. On the way to the peak, we'll pass through scenic trails, we spotted vegetable farm nearby. It has unique rock formations, towering limestone cliffs and peaks. It's a breathtaking view with an island in the distance. The scene is serene and picturesque, showcasing the beauty of nature.
Tips if you want to visit:
First check the weather because you will not see any view if there is rain or even cloudy day, it is very foggy. Since the peak is a vantage point for breathtaking sunrises, it is best to hike there early in the morning so you can catch the sunrise or in the afternoon better to climb up at 4 pm to catch the sunset.
