Hi Everyone,

One of the highlights on this trip is our clamping experience at Mount Fuji. We have been to Mount Fuji a few times but never done clamping in Japan so I decided to book a nice dome for us to stay in for 1 night. As I booked this months ahead, we aren’t sure of the weather and there is a chance we may not see the view of the beautiful mountain. Going in winter also means there will be snow as it was pretty cold so that would be the perfect scenario for us.

We arrived just around 3pm to check into the clamping site. It’s manned for a few hours but they did give us a code to get into the facilities. There were a few domes on our site all facing the mountain. Each dome would have their own private bathroom, shower with tub, kitchen facility. The best part of this place is we all have a bed to ourselves, 4 queen size beds.

Once we checked in, we decided that we will go out for dinner as there were many yummy food options in the area but will cook breakfast in the morning. With a full fridge, stove, oven and all, it was very convenient to get it all done in the morning. The kitchen dining area was also great for hubby who needs to take meetings in the mornings as he was still working throughout our stay in Japan over the 2-3 month period.

Luckily when we arrived, the weather was clear and we could see Mt Fuji clearly on both days. So lucky as there was supposed to be a storm overnight but it was pushed back so we were enjoying the view right in front of us. We also had the best sleep, the room was warm with a nice heater, big bed and most importantly, the area was super quiet unlike when we were in Tokyo, we could hear people outside or on the streets.

Such a lovely experience which I’m glad I decided to add this into our trip this year. Keep in mind if you do want to book something like this, try going mid week as you get more options and prices are much cheaper. On the weekends, prices can double and will have much more people at these venues.

Wow, the place is very beautiful. Mount Fuji is often heard by my friends and I have never seen it. I really like the place ❤️

Its a beautiful place, you must try and visit one day

OMG, how beautiful that place.

We were pretty impressed too!!!

That has to be a great experience! Sleeping in a "tent" (I know, it's much better than a tent, and probably better than some of the home studios I have seen traveling 😃) and having such great views has to be amazing! I suppose that you had beds in the dome, and the rest were in the other facility?

Thanks for sharing! I will have to try glamping... I just have to convince my wife to do it... 😂

This glamping is way better than the glamping we have here in Australia for sure. The other facility is next to the tent which is also private to us as in the other photos

Wow!
What a fantastic journey you're taking us on!
Beautiful post!

thnaks for coming by :)

This is camping with style! It looks fabulous! You were blessed to have a nice weather on that day. This is the type of camping that is less stressful because you don't need to set the tent up. They already prepared everything for you. I think the best part is the location-Mt. Fuji, with an amazing view and popular landmark of Japan. I hope I can also experience this someday.

It was a superb place, such a great place
