Hi Everyone,

Close to Strawberry Farm No. 15, we found a small farm for the kids called The Farm Field. The Farm Field petting zoo offers visitors an opportunity to interact with friendly farm animals, including goats and rabbits. For a small fee of 100 yen for each visitor, you can stay in the petting pen for as long as you want.

Our kids were particularly focused on the rabbits, and they love small furry pets, especially BB E. We bought some pet food for them to feed the little fur friends. The zoo was very well maintained, and unlike the goats and rabbits, a few chickens walked around freely. The chickens would follow us around, hoping we could give them some food.

The farm attendants were making or fixing the hen pen, and our kids were fascinated by how everything operated for the chickens. It was like a small obstacle course for these chickens, and BB M tried to tell the person that there could be more routes they could take to get the most out of that space. Such a funny kid!

Not far from the petting zoo area, there is a grape farm. I don’t think it was operating at the time we were there as the season was over for grapes but it had a cute school bus there at the front. A little further along is a dog park ring for dog owners bringing their dogs in for a run. It was such a big open space for the dogs to get their energy out.

We have been in the city for so long, coming out to the country side was a nice change for everyone. The kids said they loved it and wanted to go again. The Farm Field is around 1hr drive from Osaka so hiring a car is recommended. Coming here by public transport is possible but be prepared to time it well, if you miss the bus, it will take a while for the next one to come.

Lovely post. You can really feel the joy the kids had spending time with the animals. BB M’s ideas for the chicken obstacle course were so creative, what a smart kid 😊
