Global Village in Dubai, where you can visit half the planet in one day
Hello world
Friends we are back in Dubai, if in the last blog of this community we shared with you some traditional activities in areas far away from the center of Dubai, today we are going to a place that is visited by over 40,000 people daily, and yes we are going to Global Village.
I give you a tip, if somehow you want to visit Global Village buy tickets online, otherwise when you get to the entrance you will be standing in line to get in.
If you've read my older blogs you already know that we bought most of our tickets online so as not to waste time standing in endless lines.
How to get to the Global Village from Dubai Marina (this is where we stayed)?
After having done some simulations on public transportation (bus, subway) and careem and after seeing how long it takes to get there, we decided to call a careem (taxi).
Indeed, the bus is varied with a not exactly low cost (I paid somewhere around 20euro for one ride), but this way I got to Global Village in 40 minutes, compared to public transportation which would have taken a very long time, especially since I also caught the peak period.
Be very careful if you plan to visit here, I advise you to check their official website because Global Village is not open all year round, from what I remember I think it is open between October and May, the rest of the year it is closed.
The price of a ticket we purchased was 25AED/6,5euro/person, an extremely low price for what this place offers.
As you may have noticed from the pictures we arrived here after dark, because Global Village is open from 4 in the afternoon until midnight.
After dropping us off at the entrance we thought we were going to faint when we saw how many people are here at the entrance, but with patience we discovered that those with online tickets have a separate entrance, so in a few minutes we were through security, yes, you heard right, here we went through about the same procedures as in airports, but in addition they put a tag on our backpack.
Honestly this place is among the few places visited by me where I stopped in one place and I didn't know what to do, which way to go.
So many brightly lit buildings, everything very well arranged, but also lots of people, lots of people.
Now after having visited Global village I can tell you that here you can experience local tastes, traditional clothes or traditional products from different corners of the world.
So that the blog doesn't turn out to be a total mess from which you don't understand anything, in the following I'll leave you pictures grouped according to the country we're going to, the Global Village is huge and I think you need at least two days to see everything.
For today's blog I've chosen a few countries to share with you our experience there, you realize that I can't put pictures of everything you can see here because that would make the blog very long, this is also the idea to make you curious to see what else you can discover if you visit Dubai.
