Lake Bled, a mysterious place that seems torn from a story in Slovenia
Hello hivers
Have you ever heard of Lake Bled, the fairytale lake in Slovenia?
Slovenia, an amazing country that we passed through several times but never planned a visit here, you realize that from the car you can't get a picture of a country but only if you take it in stride.
So at the beginning of June 2023 (I must admit that during this period I had a holiday from work) we decided to visit some places in Slovenia including a fairytale place (at least that's what I like to call it), namely Lake Bled.
I must admit that after searching for information on the internet about Lake Bled in my mind came many expectations, stay with me and we will see together if this place is really amazing or not, and of course if it is worth to schedule a visit here.
Living in the west of Romania I can say that we have the advantage of being quite close and with this opportunity we can tick off many sights in Slovenia in just a few days (even on weekends) without stressing about flights, transfers, accommodation.
Time flies and look at us in the parking lot by the lake.
I stood in the parking lot for a few minutes looking at the lake and couldn't believe the color of the bush, no, no, I don't think it's real.
You should know if you come here that parking in this area is paid I think I paid around 12 euros for a few hours.
After a few steps we decided to take a break and admire the lake right from a pontoon, at first glance it seems that not many people have the courage to swim here and what is most important on the lake are prohibited boats of any kind with motor are allowed only rowboats.
I've seen people actually spread out their blankets on the ground as if they were picnicking and relaxing by the lake.
The icing on the cake of this place is the island in the middle of the lake and the church built in the middle of this island.
You can imagine that we couldn't miss the opportunity to make a visit to that island by rowboat.
Yes, I bought a trip to the island in the middle of Lake Bled which in my opinion was a bit expensive 18euro/person for just a few minutes in the boat, but in the end it is worth having such an experience.
Once on the island we climbed a lot of stairs (I hate stairs) then we visited the church and a shop selling ice cream.
Don't worry for souvenir lovers even here in the middle of Lake Bled you will find something to buy for yourself or for gifts.
Let's take a few steps into this place.
After returning to the shores of Lake Bled, we took a spring-scented walk along the specially laid out path and through the lakeside forest.
In conclusion, after a few hours spent in this place, I can recommend you to visit this emblematic place, to make a visit to the island in the middle of the lake (even if the cost is a bit high, it's worth it) and just a few kilometers away there is a fortress on top of a hill (which unfortunately we didn't get to visit, maybe next time).
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.

Indeed you are absolutely right, this place is iconic, honestly I would have spent at least a few days here not just a few hours.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
peaceful is a word that springs to mind.
You're absolutely right!
That makes a change lol
That's right.
Indeed, looks like a fairytale. I love that there are so many things to do here. I love to do SUP. :D
Thank you very much for stopping by, by the way I don't know how to swim so I'm afraid to do SUP, hehe.
You can use a life jacket while doing the SUP. :D
You're right but even so I'm afraid of water.
Ah, especially when it's cold. Understandable. :D
