First time in Lithuania. Its not that far from Estonia but still had not managed to go there before.
Lets see what Vilnius is about through my eyes and experience.
Quite some street art on walls and stuff. But not too much everywhere.
One thing I noticed was a lot of cafes and small shops in the centre. Much much more than in Tallinn, Estonia. Or maybe it just seemed like that.
There are quite many buildings that are slowly breaking apart, but also many have been restorated already. A bit like Tallinn 10 years ago.
The weather was around 0-5 degrees of celcius and mostly cloudy with no rain.
Doors.
Christmas tree.
Visited the museum of Illusions.
Trippy
Unreal
Narrow streets.
Parking for bicycles.
Local cat - a bit grumpy today
What I also noticed was it was about 20-30% cheaper to eat in restaurants/cafes than in Tallinn, and the food was really good each time. 9/10
Also so many Churches. On almost every other corner.
Mirror box?
Will continue this walk around Vilnius in next parts in next days.
Last year, we visited the Baltics for the first time. We chose Latvia and we loved it. People there told us that each country is very specific and that it is worth to visit Estonia and Lithuania as well. I understand that you're from Estonia, and now you visited Lithuania as well, so which one would you recommend?
From your photos, I think I would enjoy Vilnius. Looks a little bit like other European towns, just a bit less maintained..
Nice photos 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
I like each of the Baltic states. Each has their own differences but also quite some similarities. But only visited Vilnius and not any other towns this time. So got to see only some nature and smaller towns from a bus window.
You sure had an amazing trip , thanks for sharing...
