Have you ever visited a stranger who you just knew each other or had some short talk on the social media (facebook)?
😎My impulse travel just began like that – visting a stranger!😅 Well, I do not know either I am so reckless or silly to do this trip. I believed in my intuitive sense and my feeling about him, it made me has no doubt to settled my pack on my shoulder, and set off! 🤗
He, such a talent person, choosing leaving the city to come back with nature. He bought a small land which is next to Kala lake- the biggest lake in Di Linh town, Lam Dong province of Viet Nam.
Before starting for my trip, I had to search on google some information about Kala lake. Located in Bao Thuan commune, Kala is the biggest artificial hydroelectric lake in Di Linh town, it is also known as the gorgeous place to camp and unwind for youngsters in the weekend (https://bitly.com.vn/3iy1gz).
I arrived at 8 pm with the darkness covering on all sides excepts his house. I could feel the cold which was coming from the lake, it made me frozen in a second of time. He said to me “Welcome to Kala Lake, tomorrow you will see the beauty of it”. I was very excited to reveal the shape of Kala lake following what he said.
5.30 am in the morning, I woke up in a subtle situation with my last night’s intention. I found the way to get out the living room, in front of my eyes was a blank screen, I could not navigate the dirrection of Kala. The fog was so thick that I had to watch in wide-eyes amazement what was in the fog.
The scent of Rosemary was too comfortable for me to sit on a wooden chair to breath the vibe here. It was so fucking fresh and cool likely the cool-air chewing-gum advertise on the Internet.
My companions in this morning were a couple of black – a dog and a cat. They followed me to sit on the chair, roll themselves up like a sprial structure and yawn with open mouth.
After breakfast, I had more freedom to wander around this area. From my friend’s home, I drived to the country lanes leading to the ethnic minority group. The setting of countryside in the Northeast of VietNam suddenly hove in sight in front of my eyes.
A range of green field extended in the valley with some several small houses which is surrounded by ancient trees in both sides. I did not think I can catch up this scene in the highland or rather this area cannot have the topography of Northeast, quite strange to me.
My friend owned a boat to commute in the lake, he drove me go sight-seeing along the lake. After 30 mins through the lake, we arrived a great stream flowing under the hug rocks.
I jumped from another to another one, played with colony of termites looking for food or hunting the enermy.
Playing with the nature is truly my cup of tea, I could return to my 13- year-old children without any worries or thoughts.
My mind just came up with an idea that I can grow the trees from the seeds. I told him just wait for me in a second while I was trying to take a look on the ground to find the seed of Dipterocarpus Alatus trees. I did not know if it successed or not, I still sank into that joy till my friend called me coming back.
Giving a goodbye to the stream, I followed him go to the pine forest. Because the rough way, we tumbled down several times, luckily no one was injuried. 15 minutes passed, we entered on top of the hill. I chose a place to lie down without hesitance while my friend walked up and down with his camera. Of course he had been here for a thousand time, he knew when is the right time to take me here.
During a day travelling with him, I seemed to understand him more and to be very happy about my intuitive sense. Although he and I have the different characteristics, we still have some parts in common, still be a good friend as we did it in the social media before we met each other via this trip.
From that day forward, whenever I hear about Kala or Di Linh, he is the first one I think about, a stranger with a cold mind but a warm heart. Kala lake goes into my mind as smoothly as a glass of smoothie.
With an open mind, I think there will be no limit for us to get closer with other as well as nature. Once we dare to do, we will do it in our best.^^
