Where mountains are crowned in frosty glow
Branches bow and the earth adorned
And soft dream reborn
Radhe Radhe Everyone!
It's snow, snow and snow everywhere and my happiness level is crazy high. Consider this as my entry to #winterchallenge and #traveldigest contest organised by our very own @worldmappin community. How could you calm down when you see the most beautiful view as soon as you wake up. Yesterday it was raining heavily here at Shimla Himachal Pradesh and Iam in a village named Sheel. I came here with my friends and we were all enjoying the evening with some snacks and we will predicting whether it will snow or not. Staying at Himachal during winter is a luxury and I am blessed to born here. Yesterday during evening we did born fire played some music we were enjoying in laughing and more eagerly we were waiting for this the snow. During night I heard some thundering and I woke up to check the weather. This is the view in front of me.
Night View
It was snowing heavily and I saw our dog playing in the snow all alone and enjoying his time. It made me happy and I came outside to see the condition and everything around. Now I can't wait for the sun to shine. With smile and a happy mood I went back again and slept peacefully. And what I saw in the morning was magnificent, you can have a look.
Magical Morning
A thick layer of snow was under my feet I was roaming here and there to see the beauty of snow cap mountains all around me. I couldn't wait to go to higher attitude to see the whole village covered in snow. First have a look at these pictures that I have taken with my phone. This is the home where we stayed, it is a nice cause he place, all made up of wood from inside. This house is literally situated between the woods and up to 3 km there is no another house nearby. Saying that this cosy home and spending a night here was literally the best experience ,I ever had in passed few weeks.
Forest around is full of coniferous and deodar trees, it's dense and also that you may encounter some wild animal here. It is advised to not go alone here.
This is a store house near this home and is full of all the essential requirements of the winters. Lots of food that you can burn and it does have think where you can warm water by putting some burning woods in it. It's called hamam very common here. People of this area face issue related to electricity and it may last up to a week so they have their backups with them and they use hamam to boil water so they can do all the essential and necessary things.Moving further, the let me show you the view of the whole area from an high altitude.
View of Whole Area From Top
Whole area is covered in thick layer of snow and you can spot very few people out in the cold. The temperature here has suddenly dropped it's nearly to a 3 degree Celsius but during the night it drops to negative. And if you don't cover you are self properly and if you don't have proper quilt and a warm blanket with you you will definitely freeze. The whole village comes under the tassel Jubbal in district Shimla of Himachal Pradesh. Very beautiful village with up to 300 peoples living here but what I found you need and interesting about this area is all the homes are far away from each other, they are at assistant at the top of the hill.
The trees in the picture above are of apple, apricot and pear trees. Whole area grows lots of apple and they for the sell it in the bigger market from where international trades are done. This area yields lots of apples and its quite famous for Apple production.
Are some of the pictures that I have taken from a higher altitude, the crisp and cold Breeze was making it hard for me to stand here outside and take pictures but the view was really magnificent I was craving to see the view since last year as I was not able to enjoy snow during last winters.I walked all the way up as the roads were frozen and all the vehicles were full of snow. You will see a bright Sun after I a heavy snow fall and all the dust settle down with the snow and you get a clear view on that day. That's all for today's guys and I hope you enjoyed this blog.
