Hey guys, how are you? I'm going to tell you about my trip from Firenze to Milan, a city that ended up surprising me a lot!

Milan is a fantastic city with many must-see places.

With some problem on the tracks, the train was delayed and we ended up not noticing when it arrived, we continued checking on the panel seeking for the train number, but they didn't shown it anymore, we should be on the platform searching for the train... Since we were new to this system, we missed the train and had to wait for the next one for five hours. At the time, the next available train cost a lot more than the $15 advance ticket we had bought, costing somewhere around €40.

We took advantage of this time to plan the next steps for the trip, changing the itinerary of the next cities we were going to visit.

How about rent a car in Milan? Moving more easily between cities in Northern Italy and abandon the train, since we had already had enough resistance with regional trains and now speed ones.

We decided to include another location that we had booked during planning, but for now I'll leave it as a surprise. Do you risk trying to find out which location this will be? Hint: it's not in Italy. 1 Hive if you guess it.

The train's clean, roomy bathroom was another item I appreciated.

Milano Centrale

Upon disembarking at Milano Centrale, we were immersed in a station that was not just an arrival point, but also an architectural masterpiece that seemed to transcend time.

The sun was setting between the buildings, creating a spectacle that left me speechless. The way the golden light mixed with the blue of the buildings was very beautiful.

We started listening to music now coming from a soundcheck of an orchestra that echoed through the square welcoming us in a unique way.

While watching some of the orchestra, we noticed a group of swallows dancing in the sky. It was as if they were enjoying themselves too and often seemed to be in sync with the music.

In the square there were also several skaters who practiced maneuvers on the concrete and the sound of the wheels made me pick up my skateboard.

And then, we sat on a bench, and ate delicious pizza while listening to music and watching the skaters in front of us. Movie moment for a scene that showed the essence of Milan.

Then we went to the hostel. The delay in the trip had left us a little tired.

Arriving in Milano Centrale served as a gateway to the experiences that awaited us in the city, and so we began our exploration...

Hospedagem

I stayed at Gogol'Ostello & Caffè Letterario, an animal hostel I discovered by chance and was enchanted!

It's a mix of a hostel and a cafe, and as soon as I walked in, I felt like I was in a library, with every corner full of books, everything lit up in a very cozy way.

The employees there are great, I met a Portuguese woman who loves Brazil. Super friendly to make you feel at home.

The hostel part is pretty cool too, with super clean and comfortable beds and great shared areas. No cramped rooms, very spacious and with that creative touch.

The location is very good and the price is very affordable, perfect for those traveling alone, who love books, are artists or enjoy staying in an unusual place.

Parco Sempione

Arco della Pace

Here, day 1 begins, renewed, prepared and ready wanting...

After breakfast and that Doppio Espresso, starting our city tour with Parco Sempione.

The idea is to circle the city passing by some strategic points and discovering new things along the way.

It was our meeting point with my friend who only got a place in another place and another Brazilian we met in Milan and was alone there, adding with his company and new friendship.

Parco Sempione is really nice for those who want to relax in nature right in the middle of the city.

People walking, running, cycling and more.

The park has a wide green area, it is where 2 tourist attractions are located, Arco della Pace and Castello Sforzesco.

Castelo Sforzesco

Fontana di Piazza Castello

Continuing through Parco Sempione, we head towards Castello Sforzesco.

This Renaissance castle was built by Francesco Sforza in the 15th century, and is very imposing with its walls and towers.

Several statues carved in stone on the facades and upon entering the inner courtyard we are impressed by the grandeur of the castle.

There is the Pinacoteca del Castello Sforzesco, which houses works by artists such as Michelangelo and da Vinci.

Duomo di Milano

Nearby, the incredible Cathedral of Milan, also known as the Duomo di Milano, is one of the city's most famous sights.

With its Gothic design, it is one of the largest cathedrals in the world, it has a capacity for over 40,000 people and its architecture is truly incredible, and there are so many details that you want to keep looking and seeing all the possible sculptures.

The facade is decorated with numerous statues and sculptures and is made of marble.

We didn't go up to the terrace, but everyone recommends going up to enjoy the view of the city from up there.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II

Then we crossed the street and we were at Galeria Vittorio Emanuele II. It connects the cathedral square with Piazza della Scala.

There are countless designer stores in a beautiful gallery!

Don't forget to put your heel around the bull's testicles three times, which is right in the center of the Galleria, for good luck!

Milan is a city of fashion, right?!

Then we circled the streets of the center a little more and headed towards Navigli.

We also walked around some stores in the region that are outside the gallery and found a very Brazilian one, do you know which one?

While walking around the city, we noticed that the traffic flows very well. It's not that crazy mess... You can get around very easily by car, but be careful at intersections. Cars stop whenever they call, even above the crosswalk and there is a habit of closing intersections, resulting in horns being blown everywhere...

There's a crowd that seems to be always on the run like in a big city. But at the same time, there are some who are so chill, just hanging out with their dogs or friends, in no hurry.

One of the also famous neighborhoods is the Navigli area which is known for having canals, bridges and medieval style streets.

The canals are a great place to explore day or night as there are many bars, restaurants, shops and art galleries along the canals.

We said that at night it gets very busy, full of locals and young people, in bars from the most sophisticated to the most relaxed.

Maybe we'll come back at night to see what it's like...

Night life

We walked around the city until it started to get dark. We were already far from Navigli and ended up not returning there at night.

However, we discovered Corso Como, which has a lively Vila Madalena style vibe in SP and a variety of bars and restaurants. Perfect for happy hour.

As it was a Friday, we noticed a lot of people leaving work and stopping there for appetizers.

We took the opportunity to eat and drink good wine.

Returning to the hostel, I ran out of battery on my cell phone and Power bank. I kind of got lost. In real I wasn't lost, I just needed to find myself.

I found myself, I found a Rave going on... More unusual encounters at night, and by this time my English was sharp and my Italian flowing much better.

Market

The next day... Today is market day... to start with fruit and real food.

Piazza Gae Aulenti & BAM

After resolving the process of renting a car, where we spent a few hours in the Milano Centrale region until we got a free car, we decided to stop by the fair and then go to Piazza Gae Aulenti and enjoy the Area Cani - BAM

On Friday when I passed by there at night I thought: I have to see this during the day too! So sunny Saturday..., no
We can stop enjoying it.

The park is very beautiful, full of vegetation and gardens contrasting with the high-tech atmosphere of the surrounding businesses.

A super modern square, with elegant buildings of technology companies. A unique combination of green space with the contemporary vibe of the buildings is sensational!

In addition to this water source with its bridges that make the place even more incredible... With reflections of the buildings in the water and that relaxing noise.

Already in the park, there were people practicing sports, cheerleaders practicing dances, couples dating, and lots of happy dogs running around the park. And there was always someone different who was also up to something...

It was a Saturday afternoon for listening to music, enjoying the vibe and relaxing a bit.

That wonderful sunset that we like and many photos as I like.

Then we went to dinner and got ready for the next day's trip...

Milan was undoubtedly a pleasant surprise on this visit, it is a city rich in contrasts, which integrates modernity and tradition in one place.

I confess that before arriving in Milan, I didn't have high hopes for the city, but I was surprised!

A vibe similar to São Paulo, but much nicer and friendlier.

E aí galera, como vocês estão? Vou contar para vocês sobre minha ida de Firenze para Milão, uma cidade que acabou me surpreendendo muito!

Milão é uma cidade fantástica com muitos lugares imperdíveis.

Com algum problema nos trilhos, o trem atrasou e acabamos não percebendo quando ele chegou, ficamos olhando no painel procurando pelo n. Do trem, mas não exibirem mais, tinhamos que estar na plataforma procurando... Como principiantes nesse sistema, perdemos o trem e tivemos que ficar 5 horas pra esperar próximo trem, que foi bem caro pra comprar na hora, coisa de uns €40 fora os $15 da primeira passagem que tínhamos comprado com antecedência.

Aproveitamos esse tempo para planejar próximos passos da viagens mudando um pouco o itinerário das próximas cidades que iríamos visitar.

Que tal ajudar um carro em Milão para circular com mais facilidade entre algumas cidades do Norte da Itália e abandonar o trem, já que já tínhamos tido bastante resistência com os trens regionais e agora velocidade.

Decidimos incluir um outro local que tinha reservado durante o planejamento, mas por enquanto vou deixar como surpresa. Você arrisca a tentar descobrir qual local será esse? Dica: não é na Itália.

Outra coisa que gostei foi banheiro, muito espaçoso e limpo.

Milano Centrale

Ao desembarcar em Milano Centrale, fomos imersos em uma estação não apenas um ponto de chegada, mas também uma obra-prima arquitetônica que parecia transcender o tempo.

O sol estava se pondo entre os prédios, criando um espetáculo que me deixou sem palavras. A forma como a luz dourada se misturava com o azul dos prédios era muito lindo.

Começamos a escutar uma música agora vindo de uma passagem de som de uma orquestra que ecoava pela praça nos recebendo de uma maneira ímpar.

Enquanto assistíamos um pouco da orquestra, notamos um grupo de andorinhas dançando no céu. Era como se essas elas estivessem curtindo i sim também e muitas vezes parecia estar sincronizadas com a música.

Na praça também tinha diversos skatistas que treinavam manobras pelo concreto e o som das rodinhas fazia eu pegar no meu skate.

E então, sentamos em um banco, e comemos uma deliciosa pizza enquanto ouvia música e assistia os skatistas diante de nós. Momento de filme para uma cena que mostrava a essência de Milão.

Depois fomos para o hostel. O atraso na viagem tinha me deixado com um pouco de cansaço.

Chegar em Milano Centrale serviu como um portal para as experiências que nos aguardava na cidade, e assim começamos nossa exploração...

Hospedagem

Fiquei no Gogol'Ostello & Caffè Letterario, um hostel animal que descobri por acaso e fiquei encantado!

É uma mistura de um hostel com um café, e assim que entrei, senti como se estivesse em uma biblioteca, com todos os cantos cheios de livros, tudo iluminado de um jeito bem aconchegante.

Os funcionários de lá são demais, conheci uma portuguesa que adora o Brasil. Super simpáticos para fazer você se sentir em casa.

A parte do hostel é bem legal também, com as camas super limpas e confortáveis e ótimas áreas compartilhadas. Nada de quartos apertados, bem espaçoso e com esse toque criativo.

A localização é muito boa e preço bem acessível, perfeito pra quem viaja sozinho, ama livros, é artista ou curte ficar em um lugar diferente.

Parco Sempione

Arco della Pace

Aqui sim começa o dia 1, renovado preparado e pronto querendo...

Depois de um café da manhã e aquele Doppio Espresso, começando nosso city tour com Parco Sempione.

A ideia é circular a cidade passando em alguns pontos estratégicos e descobrindo novas coisas no caminho.

Foi nosso ponto de encontro com meu amigo que só conseguiu vaga em outro local e um outro brasileiro que encontramos em Milão e estava sozinho por lá, agregando com sua companhia e nova amizade.

O Parco Sempione é muito legal para quem quer relaxar em meio à natureza bem no meio da cidade.

Pessoas caminhando, correndo andando de bicicleta e muito mais.

O parque tem uma ampla área verde, é onde estão localizados 2 pontos turísticos, Arco della Pace o Castello Sforzesco.

Castelo Sforzesco

Fontana di Piazza Castello

Continuando pelo Parco Sempione, nos dirigimos em direção ao Castello Sforzesco.

Este castelo renascentista foi construído por Francesco Sforza no século XV, e é muito imponente com suas muralhas e torres.

Varias estátuas esculpidos em pedra nas fachadas e ao entrar no pátio interno ficamos impressionados pela grandiosidade do castelo.

Lá fica a Pinacoteca del Castello Sforzesco, que abriga obras de artistas como Michelangelo e da Vinci.

Duomo di Milano

Perto dali, A incrível Catedral de Milão, também conhecida como Duomo di Milano, um dos pontos turísticos mais famosos da cidade cidade.

Com seu design gótico, é uma das maiores catedrais do mundo, tem capacidade para mais de 40.000 pessoas e é realmente incrível sua arquitetura, e são tantos detalhes que você quer ficar procurando e vendo todas esculturas possíveis.

A fachada é decorada com inúmeras estátuas e esculturas e é feita de mármore.

Não subimos no terraço, porém todos recomendam subir para apreciar a vista da cidade lá de cima.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II

Depois atravessamos a rua e estávamos na Galeria Vittorio Emanuele II. Ela liga a praça da catedral com a Piazza della Scala.

São inúmeras lojas de grife em uma galeria belíssima!

Não esqueça de dar três voltas com o calcanhar nos testículos do touro que fica bem no centro da Galleria, para dar sorte!

Quem sabe essa foto traga essa bullrun que sei que você está esperando...

Milão é cidade da moda né?!

Depois circulamos um pouco mais das ruas do centro e fomos sentido navigli.

Passeamos também por algumas lojas da região que ficam fora da galeria e encontramos uma bem brasileira, sabe qual é?

Enquanto andava pela cidade, percebemos que o trânsito flui muito bem. Não é aquela confusão louca... Dá pra se deslocar muito fácil de carro, mas cuidado nos cruzamentos. Os carros param em qqr ligar até em cima da faixa de pedestre e tem costume de fechar os cruzamentos resultando em buzinas pra todo lado...

Tem uma galera que parece tá sempre na correria como em uma cidade grande. Mas ao mesmo tempo, tem uns que tão de bobeira, só curtindo com os cachorros ou os amigos, sem pressa nenhuma.

Um dos bairros também famoso é a área de Navigli que é conhecida por ter canais, pontes e ruas estilo medieval.

Os canais são um ótimo lugar para explorar de dia ou de noite, pois há muitos bares, restaurantes, lojas e galerias de arte ao longo dos canais.

Nós falaram que à noite fica bem agitado cheios de locais e jovens, nos bares desde os mais sofisticados até os mais descontraídos.

Quem sabe voltamos de noite para ver como que é...
