A weekend in luxury:-)
Hello my fellow HIVEsters, hope that you are all doing great, enjoying time with friends and family.
Today I would like to share with you some pictures from the weekend that I spent with my girlfriend at a Spa-resort in Sweden...
We left home friday morning from home, I just returned from two days of work, and drove to the city of Ystad in Sweden. It is actually only a two hour drive from where I live, taking the bridge between Denmark and Sweden. Ystad is situated in the southern part of Sweden very close to the ocean.
Picture captured with my phone camera..The first couple of hours we walked around, doing a little shopping and had some lunch in the city of Ystad, and during the afternoon, we checked in at the Spa-resort.
Before dinner, we had a few drinks by the indoor fireplace, enjoying the view of the ocean through the windows you can see in the background on the picture above...

After a few drinks, we went back to our room to dress up and get ready for dinner in the restaurant at the resort...
Picture captured with my phone cameraThe starter consisted of Beef tartar with Danish cheese, lingonberries and grilled onions. I chose a glass of Pinot Noir to go with that.
I tasted really good, the quality of the food at the resort is absolutely amazing. I can only recommend it to everyone!
Picture captured with my phone cameraThe main course consisted of Sirloin of veal with a croquette, caramelized onions, red wine jus and some chervil on top. I was not really sure what to chose to drink, preferably it should have been one the heavier red wines like a Barolo or a Barbaresco, but at this point, I had already had red wine, so I chose to go with a glass of German wheat beer...
Picture captured with my phone cameraThe dessert consisted of crisp bread, with various kinds of cheese, and of course some honey to put on top..:-)
The dinner was absolutely amazing, the quality of the food was top class!
After dinner, we went back to our room, and got ready to visit the Spa. It was a great evening, with drinks in the outdoor hot tub, the saunas, the freezing baths and all the other kinds of pools... My girlfriend went for a hot-stone massage, I chose to stay in the hot pool outside with a drink..:-)
We stayed there till the day after, maybe I'll do a follow up post on the breakfast and the rest of the trip at some point...
