The Army Museum, Brawijaya Museum in Malang

Hello everyone....

When going to a place you will definitely be curious about free public destinations, if not, it's okay, maybe I'm the only one who is obsessed with free places. So, when I was in Malang, my friend and I looked for the nearest place we could visit. Of the many places, Brawijaya Museum was on one of our lists. Let me take you strolling around Brawijaya Museum in Malang.

Let's get it!

Brawijaya Museum
in Malang

When I and my friend arrived at the Brawijaya Museum, the museum was closed so I and my friend didn't know whether there was an entrance fee or not. Even so, we were not prohibited from entering it. We walked around and looked around the museum from the outside. Yes, so it turns out that Brawijaya Museum has another area where you have to pay a fee to enter (correct me if I'm wrong). Because there were no guards, we couldn't enter the indoor museum, so we just looked around outside. Even though we could only see part of the Brawijaya Museum, it still gave a historical impression.

After passing through the entrance gate, to enter the museum building you will be shown the Sudirman Statue, where Sudirman is one of the historical figures in the military field. Because this museum is a military museum, the placement of the Sudirman statue is one of the mandatory things. Let's stroll around the museum.

When you enter the main area, you will be shown several photos of struggle figures and also antique cars - which I myself do not know the function of the antique car there. There is no information and explanation from the officers, so just assume that the antique car is an antique car of the fighters in the era of the struggle in the past.

This is the most interesting, namely the Statue of Raden Wijaya. Raden Wijaya himself is the King of the Majapahit kingdom while Majapahit Kingdom itself was the first kingdom in Indonesia. The existence of the Raden Wijaya statue in this museum is the forerunner of the naming of the Brawijaya Museum where Raden Wijaya had the title Prabu Brawijaya at that time.

The thing that caught my attention the most when I entered the Museum yard area was this train wreck. I don't know for sure if this is the original train or just a replica.

It is written on the body of the train that this train is a death train. It is called a death train because at that time, this carriage accommodated 100 people/workers. In that narrow space, 100 workers fought for oxygen, causing everyone to die due to lack of space and oxygen. Only one person survived the tragedy. This incident can be called a premeditated murder.

I don't have much story about this museum right now, the thing that I knew is just, this place is nice to improving our knowledge about the Army of Republic Indonesia.

There is a cafe also there. It was in the park, there is a cafe with old decorations. They setting the looks like old era, like the furnitures, all are looks old.

Actually, there are many things that I can explore from this museum, such as the miniatures displayed in front of the museum building. All of them will arouse your sense of nationalism and empathy for the soldiers who died during the war. This museum exists to remind civilians that nothing is free in this world. They have delivered their lives, given their blood for the peace that we can now feel.

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
