Hello everyone....

When you walking around Central Jakarta will make you find lots of proper hangout spots. It can be concluded that you will not experience a place crisis when you want to walk around Central Jakarta. There are many choices, one of which is Lapangan Banteng which is adjacent to the Cathedral Church. Let's take a look with me.
Let's get it!
Central Jakarta
I have stopped by this park several times to see my friend making content, but did not really visit it because I could only stop by for a short time at that time. Then when I had a long time to travel around Jakarta, Lapangan Banteng was one of the places I visited. Luckily I visited on weekdays, so Lapangan Banteng was quiet. On weekends or days when national holidays arrive, Lapangan Banteng will be very crowded with visitors and hawkers. On weekdays, the local government can be stricter by not allowing hawkers to trade in the area. Looks how sterile that gate.

Before entering the main area of Lapangan Banteng, I will take you for strolling around to the green area where there are many shady trees there. This area is on the left side of the entrance gate.
Ah ya, to enter this Lapangan Banteng you don't have to pay a penny because this Lapangan Banteng is indeed made as a public space. Then you won't be confused by the security check like those in malls. You just need to stroll there leisurely and prepare your energy because this Lapangan Banteng is very spacious.

Can you imagine what if you bring your family there and do a picnic? The air around this green area is really nice. I hope when many families do a picnic there are no irresponsible people smoking here and there so that the air around is maintained and the children can play happily.
This green area not only has very fresh air, but also has good cleanliness. It is very nice to see a public space this clean.
This pond is in the middle of a green area. There is a monument in the middle of it—I don't know the meaning of the monument. But its existence is enough to indicate the cultural density in this Park. I think, if the monument had a fountain, it would add to its appeal.
This is the way to the center of Lapangan Banteng, where you can see the very iconic statue from here. I'll show you from here before we actually see it up close.
The Monument of Liberation of West Irian

The iconic thing about Lapangan Banteng is about the 35-meter tall monument that has a statue of a person stretching his arms and looks like he say 'freedom'. Yup, the sculpture meaning is about 'freedom'. The monument was built during and by President Soekarno to commemorate the liberation of West Irian, one of the provinces in Papua. To commemorate the event, the First President ordered the construction of this monument and made it an icon of Lapangan Banteng.
Because of this monument, Lapangan Banteng has become more interesting and is visited by many people to do many activities such as picnics, flag raising exercises, create music content, and many more. This field is a place that can be used by anyone.
Right next to the monument is a pond that is almost half the size of the field. Uniquely, the pond filled with fish has a stage in the middle, often used for musical performances, so it is not surprising that in front of the pond there are terraced seats along the pond. Isn't it true, Taman Lapangan Banteng is very versatile.

This Lapangan Banteng Park seems to be a symbol that the local government has supported the creativity of the surrounding community by providing a public space that can be used by anyone. Both young people and those who are no longer young. I hope that Lapangan Banteng will remain preserved and clean.

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
