Hello everyone....

In other day, I always have a desire to visit The Cathedral Church because its splendor. Although I have been in Jakarta for several years, I have never had the chance to visit it. I heard that this church is very grand and has a very beautiful interior. A famous celebrity couple from my country has provoked me by having their wedding there and showing how beautiful this church is.

On another day I finally had time to visit it. It was a cloudy day so it was a nice time to travel around Jakarta.

Let's get it!

The Cathedral church
Central Jakarta

I came here not to worship because of course I don't know how. I just wanted to make this place one of the places I've ever visited and see this building that has been more than a century old since. Although it was inaugurated since 1901, this Cathedral Church has not changed at all. You could say, its originality is still maintained.

When I arrived there, the Cathedral Church was not being used for worship because it was not Sunday, hence we entered this area from the door on the left side. Seeing the other side of this church made me feel like I was in another country. When I was in these parts I felt like I was in European countries that had super tall buildings. But the national emblem below made me feel like I was pulled back from my short imagination and said, hey—you are still in Indonesia. hahaha

This statue looks real. It is truly brilliant of the initiator of the Cathedral Church to present the figure of Jesus (correct me if I'm wrong) in the form of a statue that shows his simplicity.

Let's take another look at the Cathedral Church building in front where the entire building looks like it has Neo Gothic architecture, an architectural style adopted from the Gothic movement. Meanwhile, from what I read, this Cathedral Church is apparently made of red brick plastered with cement so that it looks like the one in the picture, full cement.

Meanwhile, this is the view of the Cathedral Church from the right side. On this side there are not many statues, it is left alone, there are only a few plants there, making it look like a fairy tale when I look up. This building is truly magnificent. Although it has a construction of plastered red bricks, this building which is actually very simple is able to show how magnificent and full of magical aura. At least that's what I felt when I walked around the Cathedral Church. This visit was truly very satisfying.

This park is on the right side, which is the Mother Mary Prayer Park. There are many seats for the congregation here and it is forbidden to take photos while in the Prayer Park area. I took this photo from outside, hopefully this is not included in the violation. I understand that the prohibition is for the purpose of the congregation being more focused and solemn in the prayers they pray.

Let's enter the room...

To enter the area inside the Cathedral Church there is a side door. Maybe because that day was not a day for worship so the main gate was not opened. At this entrance, I could see people who were solemn in their prayers as well as the interior which was no less magnificent.

I sat there for a few minutes to see if I could explore the area inside this large church. But unfortunately, I couldn't. So I only took a few photos. There were many yellow lines here and there indicating that the room was sterilized from the congregation or visitors.

Visiting a place of worship of another religion can be considered a privilege for me, because by doing so I will cultivate my attitude of tolerance. When you are in a place of worship of another country you will feel whether you feel discriminated against because you are not their group or not, fortunately, I did not feel that way. All the congregation there were busy with themselves without being disturbed and suspicious of the religion I adhere to.

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
