Mini Japan called Himeji Garden

in Worldmappin3 years ago

Hello Hive tribe!

So, as you have seen in my previous posts, South Australia is full of beautiful nature and amazing spots to go see and explore but I had no idea we actually have a little tiny Japan in the middle of the city too! How amazing!

Before I go on and show this gorgeous little place, can you notice my pictures becoming clearer than in my previous posts?

I have to say this as its so exciting:D I have a camera Nikon D50 , which I pretty much had in my closet for the last few years, one reason because it was very inconvenient to carry it around (before I was even more involved with picture taking) but also for some reason it stopped working! What a shame! I thought I might never be able to use it again, but with the help of a friend (that might not want to be named), it now works! He did a bit of this and a bit of that (meaning I have no clue), and voila! My beautiful camera is now fully working and it has been such joy taking pictures with it and realising how much clearer pictures have been since then! Thank you big time, to this wonderful person, I can now take my photography to the next level. Still not professional, but for sure much much better quality. Amazing!

Ok! Back to the lovely Himeji Garden..

So, the entry is free and there is a lot of parking available there (2 hour free parking which is more than enough time for that). From the outside, it doesn't look like much as it has walls around it, but once you step inside, it just gives it a feeling of peace and solitude. It does say to keep quiet inside as a sign of respect and also so people can really enjoy the nature and de-stress.

Now, before anyone gets too excited, the garden is really small! In fact, if you just wish to go see it and take a few pictures, it would probably take you less than 10 minutes. But I recommend spending some relaxing time there as it is really peaceful to just sit and listen to the sound of water (there is a little waterfall to see).

I have never been to Japan unfortunately but seeing this garden, makes me really want to visit Japan too.
So what I hear is that this little gem is a very good example of a real Japanese garden and it is really well maintained.

It is full of plants and ponds, trimmed bushes and a few grass areas in the shade where you can just sit down, have a picnic or just breath the fresh air.

Definitely a little hidden gem and great spot to rewind. When you get tired of the actual garden, going around nearby areas and parks will do as well.

Thanks for watching and to whoever is celebrating, have a beautiful, but mostly peaceful Christmas and sending you my best wishes.
To those who get to spend this time with your family and loved ones, be grateful and hope you can enjoy it as best as you can and those who like me, are separated from family, and those who are not celebrating, I'm sending lots of love your way. Peace and joy to you all.

All the best Hive tribe!
