Welcome back to another beautiful journey. Today, I'm excited to share my experience exploring the stunning mountains of Rohru Valley, starting from the charming village of Jangling.
Our journey began in Jangling, a beautiful village nestled in the heart of Rohru Valley. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by the locals. I was truly amazed by the hospitality of the people in this village they were unlike anyone I had ever met before.
What really caught my attention was how the people in Jangling all came together and helped each other out. Even though they lived simple lives, they were always ready to support those who needed it. Whether it was by sharing food, giving someone a place to stay, or just spending time together and laughing, the folks in Jangling made us feel like we belonged with them, like we were part of their family.
Their houses were simple, but I was amazed by the design and architecture. Even the places where they kept their cows and other pets were beautifully decorated. The flowers crafted on the windows added a special touch to the house.
The balconies of the houses were all open, letting in the fresh mountain air. Being in those houses made you feel so peaceful and relaxed.
On our first day, we enjoyed the peaceful vibe and cool buildings in the village. Then, we went to Dayara Thach for our second day.
It's a campsite in the mountains with amazing views and a calm atmosphere, perfect for spending the night.
The best part of our camping.... We had a special campsite just for nature's calls, which was a highlight of our trip.
As day three started, the sun was shining brightly, and we set out on a hike towards Litham.
As we walked, we saw stunning mountains covered in snow, a bit of fog, and trees everywhere. It was so beautiful.
During our journey, we encountered many stunning mountains 
And even came across a bridge that had been completely destroyed by the river.
Last year, especially in Himachal Pradesh, there was a lot of rain which caused the water levels of rivers to rise, resulting in significant destruction.
After hiking for about 3 hours, we reached Shapri, where we found the last dhaba of our trek.
We took a break there, enjoyed some food, and saw some breathtaking views of mountains.
At the dhaba, we started up a conversation with the locals who ran the place. They shared with us that they were from the nearby village of Janglik and were not only running the dhaba but also tending to a herd of over 400 sheep. They were the local shepherds of the area, responsible for caring for the sheep owned by various people.
They explained to us the seasonal migration patterns of the sheep in the summer, they grazed in the mountains, away from the heat of the plains, while in the winter, they descended to the lower altitudes to escape the cold and snow.
It was really interesting to learn about how people and animals live together in the mountains and follow nature's patterns. I felt happy to understand the shepherd's way of life, and they even had dogs with them to keep the sheep safe.
As we started hiking, clouds gathered, and it rained for 15-20 minutes.
After some time, we reached a point where there were many small and big stones scattered all around the path.
We saw these stones for a long time, and it became quite boring to see them everywhere.
Later, the sky cleared up.
But soon, we arrived at Litham, [//]:# (!pinmapple 31.36774 lat 78.09974 long d3scr)which is situated at an altitude of 11,750 feet. It was a beautiful campsite and our second campsite of the journey. We decided to take some rest there before continuing our trek to the famous Buran Ghati.
After resting for a while, we set out on a hike to see Buran Ghati. Along the way, I saw some incredibly beautiful views that even my cameras couldn't fully capture.
The quiet and serene surroundings, along with the beautiful views, made me speechless for a moment.
I was totally lost in the beauty of these mountains 🏔️..
After spending some time in the valleys of Litham, we captured the beautiful Buran Ghati and spend some time there.
Later, we watched the sunset and captured more beautiful photos. Then, fog enveloped the mountains, creating a mystical atmosphere.
Finally, we returned to our campsite.
The next day, we woke up early and began our trek to Chandranahan. It was a challenging journey for us because the path was very steep, almost 75 degrees, and the air at such high altitude had less oxygen. Chandranahan is located at an altitude of 13,500 feet and is the main source of the Pabbar River, which flows through Chirgaon Rohru and reaches Uttarakhand.
Since our phone batteries were running low, we focused mainly on capturing photos of the main lakes along the way and some beautiful mountains 🏔️. Seeing five lakes in such a breathtaking place filled me with joy and amazement.
It was truly incredible to discover such a hidden gem.
Although there were actually seven lakes in total, we didn't have the proper gear to explore further but my soul was satisfied with these five lakes only.
These lakes are very important to the people who live here and to the visitors who come to see them. They are seen as very holy, and lots of people come here to show their respect and ask for blessings. As we kept walking, I felt really amazed by how beautiful and special this place was.
For a while, we got lost in the beauty and serenity of the holy lakes. We took some photos and then quickly returned to the village of Jangling after a full day of hiking.
