“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
There have been many challanges beaten, many lessons learned, many things improved and many kilometers driven in these tw oweeks of my absence.
Previous week was one of those when we did most of the work, did my best, improved my quality of work, communication skills and ways I treat myself with others. As always my way of doing things is to try do it better the next day and in knowing I did my best I could today weather it was being polite, respectful or at my job. Have been focusing on myself in relation with others lately, with improving connections with people, old friends and relatives all around me.
Start
This week has been amazing, on Wednesday I finished work at 13.00 and went to my mums place to get my camping gear and off I went to a long waited road trip. First I started with our beautiful coast where we met with a friend for a nice refreshing swim in the sea, just before the sunset.

The temperature was great with nice sunny, hot weather that made the jump in the sea soo much more rewarding, to finish a great day. First stop was in Izola where we parked in the marine, that doesn't have as crowded beach to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
Sleeping on a cliff
For dinner I had home veggies with tomatoes my mother gave me to the roadtrip where I ended up sleeping right on the cliff. It is a special place to me where sleeping there feels just like 7-8hour meditation with sound of the waves clashing with the rocks whole night long.
Woke up to another beautiful morning where it started with a nice big cup of coffee made right at the car with my portable cooker and a nice morning swim in Izola where I got fortunate enough to find whole bunch of beautiful seashells and got several opportunities to get a few random kids smile, by giving them a seashell.
It is an amazing feeling making a random person smile, make their day and especially if I can bring a smile to a random child. :)
Continuing the journey
After almost two hour of snorkeling I decided to go on a short walk threw the tiny, beautiful city Izola and later returned to the car ,went to take a nice shower, then continued my road trip. This time to a special village in my heart, Kobarid that is located about 150 kilometers from the coast that.
After 2hours of driving I got to drive on of my favorite roads that leads threw city Tolmin and follows the path of a special river that goes by the name Soča. These places also have rich history, sadly most of them are dark ones going back to WW1 and the second one.
Stopped in city Tolmin to get some fresh air and stretch a little bit, when I found a spot to park, went inside a tiny cave and got idea to hike on top of a hill. It was hot, but had time to go have a nice exercise, get a ton of fresh air and amazing views of Soča valley. After reaching the top, passing a bunker, two small caves I finally reached the top where castle Tolmin is also located.

After an hour I got back to the car and continued my journey to Kobarid, where I will share more about it in my next post.

I'm truly grateful to live in such a beautiful, tiny, diverse country where traveling is easy and fast as well. Really humble to live in such a safe, clean country where exploring is allowed and you can explore any hill, street or village safely without any worry. Grateful to be healthy, strong and alive, sharing experience & amazing time with you all.
Like sharing seashells, I love sharing smiles and good vibes everywhere I go, from getting groceries to friendly encounters with people, I really hope I brought one to you as well today. :)
Thank you for taking time to read, I wish you a good day or a good night and a good life!

Always welcome to our tiny sLOVEnia!
You're welcome, I think the photos are beautiful 🙂
Nice photos.
Kobarid is beautiful, but quite crowdy lately.
I don't like 'mainstream' music nor places as well, I do love to explore and go in oposite direction crowd usually go, I do have few empty spots you might have missed in or near magical Kobarid, one is kind of 'on top' of it, sharing more info in next one :)

Thank you very kindly, when was the last time you jumped in our ice cold Soča? :)
I love your name plate!
btw, the road trip was also awesome!!😀
It truly was amazing with lot's of new hidden places, I love it as well, it's now 5 years old and still almost always in my backpack with me everywhere I go :)
Got new ideas and opportunity to make something simular but on wood
You made that yourself? That's awesome!
I think a wood one would give a different feel, like more suitable if you go on these roadtrip, and this metal one would suit city tripo more
Well I modeled it and asked if a friend could laser cut it for me, over4 years ago, after I started writing :)
Ha, yesterday was a very special day full of good vibes, ideas and yes, wooden writing was one of them, got idea to make my own wooden hive card and maybe make few tiny ones to give away to our sLOVEnian hivers that are still very active, not many anymore, but a few for sure, to help and spread the word out
