“I am amazed by how many individuals mess up every new day with yesterday.”
― Gary Chapman, The Five Love Languages
Hello there Dear Hiveans,
There were many things happening at the same time, keeping it focused on positive side, trying to waste as little time as possible, do my best in everything I did, work on myself and even got invited on a mysterious date this Friday, where we went to see latest movie about Elvis in the middle of the castle, to watch a movie under the stars, which was my first time as well.
Have also been reading books and started listening to audiobooks, while I'm doing a lot of driving. One of them was also The Five Love Languages I highly recommend to anyone.
Last two weeks have been busy with improving relationships with everyone including myself, helping out my mother with multiple brake downs with her old car, getting her new ones and spending several days with her collecting and finding blueberries she enjoys to gather for over 60 years now.
Haven't been much up here, but still got a place to share or to pin it on the map. Because such an old tiny city Pula really has a lot to show, while finding the name of the place I went to visit my last day I found another one I wish to visit, Pula and it's surroundings really has a lot to offer and explore.
It was my fourth day of holidays or extended weekend as I called it, previous day I got to Pula, explored the center with old Roman buildings over 2000years old, went to cape Kamenjak and now it was time to explore more of beaches near Pula.
This was recommendation from owner of the apartment I stayed in. There was a big free parking, a lot to see, aquarium I passed and a bit of still visible castle where it was located.
Place is called Verudela that has a lot to offer, even a hotel right by the beach, but I was mostly interested in what nature has to offer with the amazing views. My goal was to find the canyon, there's something special to it, maybe because it adds a little bit of adrenalin with it. I didn't jump here though!
I already had a bad sunburn so when I found a place with a lot of shades in the morning I went on a long swim before the sun got hot and strong again. found a nice spot where kids placed rocks together with misspelled Croatia, where I also played a little bit in the shade and added my own touch to it. :)
When the time got to 12 o clock I went to the car to hide from the sun, went to get something to eat, got to my apartment and cooked myself some vegetables with chicken and rested for about half an hour. At 3.30 pm I went to another place locals go too, it is located few minute drive from my apartment and also offers a free parking that filled up quickly. It is called Stoja and has a nice old feeling to it with old abandoned building that looked like it was for tourists long ago, now it's a part of history.
Was here for about hour and a half with exploring, finding a place to go swim for myself and maybe after 10 or 15 minutes in the water my back really started hurting and weird spiking feeling where I went straight under the shades and hoped it will be better. It was only getting worse, so I went back to my car and drove to the apartment for a very cold shower, ate something and went to sleep for an hour. With a bit of mr. Google I think that was my first time getting a sun poison, was dizzy, hot n cold feeling, drank over 6 liters of water per day with tingling feeling on my back, even though I always stay away from the sun.
Later that day it got a bit better and in the late evening decided to go to the city center for one more time, gave long sleeve hoodie on me and went on a short walk, it didn't feel hot, it was just perfect.
After the walk I packed everything and got ready to head back home the next morning. The experience was superb and really gave me a lot more reasons to return.
The next day, drive back home went smooth, without any road jams what to ever, it was Monday, even stopped in our Slovenian coast for a real quick swim before the sun came up and then continued my way back home.
Really grateful for all the hard, so called bad times that got me this far from where I was able to learn, grow and improve to be where I am today. Grateful to be able to go on such adventures, that I'm healthy, that I listen myself and my body, and that as I improve relationship with myself while increasing values, self respect the same I do automaticly to people around me. That's one of the reasons the world is becoming nicer everywhere I go.
Thank you for taking time to read, I wish you a great restful Sunday
