For many years I have wanted to take my wife to this place, which I discovered a little over 9 years ago when my brother showed me this place. Of course, on so many occasions that I went to La Llovizna park I had not been able to get there. It may be because I had not oriented myself well or I did not remember what the route was like. Perhaps on several occasions it was very close, but among so much nature and the mountains one loses the location, in addition to the fact that this is a very large park and there are several paths to different sectors where all those paths can be very similar.
After this visit I wanted to find out if there is a name for this place, but in reality I did not find anything, so I named it the hidden beach, and it is not that it is very hidden, but it is a place that is not so frequented by visitors due to the distance from the main attractions of the park such as the waterfalls or lagoons. But this place may be less than those other attractions and I think not. For me it is like a small corner of natural paradise.
As we can see in the photographs, it is a beach, but a river beach, specifically the waters of the Caroní River, and it even has its own sandbanks. A very quiet place where one can take a bath, although I don't think it is ever allowed, it is not a bad idea to take a small bath in these magnificent waters along the entire shore without having to go to the bottom because the Caroní River can have very dangerous currents, so I was telling my wife that from the first moment we arrived she went to bathe but being careful. Of course this is not an official resort, otherwise many people would be spending the night in this place to bathe, although later my father was telling me that many years ago people used to go to this place.
Yesterday when we went to the park my first suggestion was to get to this beach, so I followed my intuition and walked along the park paths to get there, and in reality it is not that far from the park entrance, taking perhaps 30 minutes or 45 minutes to get there, between wooded paths and lagoons, which can be accessed from the stone theater in the park, entering the small jungle that also borders the coast towards the great river and the waterfalls.
The path is easy, practically everything is paved and in a certain way it is cool because all the vegetation in the place generates a lot of shade from the increasing sun in the area, which can tire out a lot of those who make this journey. In addition to this beach, there are also other interesting places to visit nearby, such as the Las Babas lagoon, the Punto de Vista viewpoint, the Las Arenas viewpoint and the Escondido well, places that I would like to show you and review in this medium in the near future, in order to demonstrate the immensity of this wonderful park that increasingly leaves us with many places to explore, appreciate and discover.
