As part of a tour of the city of Valencia, Carabobo state - Venezuela, it was inevitable to pass by this Catholic church, with a peculiar architecture, very different from the usual church constructions in the city and in Venezuela. An architectural jewel in the heart of the city of Valencia, full of stories.
I must point out that personally I am not catholic nor do I belong to any religion, but I respect the religious beliefs of each individual, and my intention with this publication is to show photographs of this architectural work, it is for me of much appreciation.
Como parte de un recorrido que hice por la ciudad de Valencia, estado Carabobo - Venezuela, era inevitable pasar a presenciar esta iglesia católica, con una peculiar arquitectura, muy diferente a lo que comúnmente son las construcciones de las iglesias en la ciudad y en Venezuela. Una joya arquitectónica en plena ciudad de Valencia, llena de historias.
Debo acotar que personalmente no soy católico ni pertenezco a ningún tipo de religión, pero respeto las creencias religiosas se cada individuo, y mi intención con esta publicación es mostrar fotografías de esta obra arquitectónica, es para mí de mucha apreciación.

This gothic style church is known to have been built in 1896, under the tutelage of Monsignor Juan Bautista Castro, and every ornamental part and detail was brought from Italy, for the simple fact that these materials could not be found in Venezuela. Such as the marble and stained glass, were perfected in great detail in Europe.
Although this church was consecrated on June 25, 1965, by Monsignor José Alí Lebrún. And its location is at 107 Nava Espinola Street, almost next to the main Bolivar Avenue in the city of Valencia, Carabobo State - Venezuela. This church has always been very striking for its architectural image, which makes a difference between the modern constructions around it.
Esta iglesia de estilo gótico, se conoce de su construcción del año 1896, bajo la tutela del monseñor Juan Bautista Castro, y cada parte ornamental y detalles fueron traídos desde Italia, por el simple hecho que esos materiales no se encontraban en Venezuela. Tales como los mármoles y vitrales, fueron perfeccionados con mucho detalle en Europa.
Aunque esta iglesia fue consagrada un 25 de junio de 1965, por el monseñor José Alí Lebrún. Y su ubicación se encuentra en la calle 107 Nava Espínola, casi a un costado de la principal avenida Bolívar de la ciudad de Valencia, estado Carabobo - Venezuela. Desde siempre esta iglesia ha sido muy llamativa por su imagen arquitectónica, que hace notar una diferencia entre las construcciones modernas de su alrededor.

I have always had the intention of entering this church, but whenever I pass by I have never seen it open, and it seems to be abandoned, but several people have told me that if it is working, perhaps I have not arrived at the right time to be able to enter and appreciate and photograph all its internal structure and its stained glass windows, an element that must be very characteristic for this church, which imposes itself with its architecture in Valencia.
On the other hand it can be seen that the structure is having some deterioration, even though it is made with very resistant materials, which has made it possible for it to last longer in time, although I think that in a few more decades it will be necessary to maintain and restore this spectacular architectural jewel of patrimonial value of the city.
Siempre he tenido la intención de entrar a esta iglesia, pero siempre que paso nunca la he visto abierta, y es que pareciera que estuviese abandonada, pero varias personas me han dicho que si esta funcionado, quizás no he llegado a la hora justa para poder entrar apreciar y fotografías toda su estructura interna y sus vitrales, un elemento que debe ser muy característico para esta iglesia, que se impone con su arquitectura en Valencia.
Por otra parte se puede ver que la estructura está teniendo cierto deterioro, a pesar de que está hecha con materiales muy resistentes, que ha hecho posible que perdure más en el tiempo, aunque pienso que dentro de unas décadas más será necesario su mantenimiento y cierta restauración de esta espectacular joya arquitectónica de un valor patrimonial de la ciudad.
