Good beautiful PINMAPPLE community.
We continue in the archipelago of Varadero and this time I visited this beautiful Monument to Don Quixote and Sancho Panza in the tower of the fortress and their restaurant called Mesón del Quijote, located on Avenida las Americas, with more than impressive views on a beautiful hill, so let's take a tour of the whole place and see what they have to offer.

Arriving at the place the first thing we see from afar is the stone tower, with an old appearance that makes it even more beautiful, built more than two centuries ago, this formerly served as a warehouse and defense of these areas, according to some workers of the restaurant, it has a height of 12 meters which makes that from its top you can see incredible views of the crystal clear waters of the beach.

Then in front of us we find the iconic Don Quixote, protagonist of Cervantes' novel. This representative character of idealism, madness, ingenuity and courage has transcended the borders of literature, becoming a universal symbol of Hispanic culture.
This sculpture is made of Bronze and shows his appearance as a Knight-Errant, with his armor, spear and shield, and his faithful horse Rocinante.

Throughout the sculpture we can see how some people who have visited the place have left padlocks tied, this symbolizes the love, friendship and memory of these travelers.
Some have engraved the names or initials of the couples or groups that have placed it, others have beautiful different shapes or special colors that distinguish them, The idea of these padlocks is that they remain there over the years as proof of the union and fidelity of those who have left it.

Then waiting to be able to eat in the restaurant, we sat on a bench with a lamppost and a tree on its sides that I loved very much, they were very photographable, in addition to the calm that existed in the place, we stared at the sea and stunned for a few minutes.
Hasta que entramos al restaurante, su cocina es Cubana, ofrecen comida Criolla y Mariscos, la elaboración estaba bastante buena, el servicio es el que estaba flojo, se tardaban un poco en traer las cosas, el servicio de la terraza cerraba temprano, no pregunte si era por el día en que estábamos. Podría repetir algún día esta comida, si, pero se pueden encontrar mejores ofertas en otros lugares.
To sum up, I loved visiting the place because of its sculpture, its view that was very cool and very photographable with that tower, I saw many people also photographing themselves on top of old cars for a ride, but it didn't seem very in line with the time, so I didn't focus my lens on it.
The only thing that didn't excite me so much was the Restaurant, which are best found on the peninsula, but you can hang out.
