The baths of the San Juan River are a beautiful place, perfect for family enjoyment, it is part of the Sierra del Rosario, a Biosphere reserve declared by UNESCO.

I visited it a few years ago, this time we went with the girls and they loved it. From the moment you arrive at the place, the murmur of the river and the singing of the birds give you a tranquility that is difficult to forget, far from the noise and bustle of the city. The place is surrounded by rocks through which the water cascades, forming wide pools, some deep, with clear waters and a gentle current.

We prefer to be located in a lower area, my girls had a lot of fun and even made a collection of different colored stones. The children discovered that if they put a stone in the waterfall, more foam would come out and that was the main game of the children’s group, to find a stone that would not fall when they put it on top of the waterfall. Despite the number of people, there are in the place, it is a place that I recommend for any age, always with great care when walking down the stairs and not slipping between the stones.

It is very relaxing, because of the beautiful landscape, and the pleasant temperature of the water to cool off from the heat in this intense summer. It is still nice, an ideal place to spend the day, very quiet, clean and fresh river.
On the way we were informed that it is forbidden to play music…
It has chairs and wooden tables to eat, we bring the food, but there is a restaurant with Cuban food right there, there is a place to change, also if you wish you can ride a horse and for those who wish to stay longer in contact with nature there are cabins to spend the night, if you decide to stay always remember to take your mosquito net and some repellent.
It is excellent to be in contact with nature and of course, take care of it, despite all the information and the care we must have to maintain the place, we found pieces of glass at the bottom of the river.
On the way back I asked my girls what they liked the most about the visit, the eldest said it was spending a family day in contact with nature, and for the little one what impressed her the most was the cold water temperature. In general, it is a place where you can go to spend some time with your family and friends, and at the same time enjoy the beautiful mountainous landscape.
Bring your swimsuit and you will not regret spending a wonderful day relaxing at the San Juan Baths.

Hacía ya algunos años lo había visitado, en esta ocasión fuimos con las niñas y les encantó. Desde que llegas al lugar el murmullo del río y el canto de las aves te da una tranquilidad que es difícil olvidar, lejos del ruido y bullicio de la ciudad. El lugar está rodeado de rocas por las que cae el agua en cascada, formando pocetas amplias, algunas profundas, con aguas claras y una corriente suave.

Nosotros preferimos ubicarnos en una zona más baja, mis niñas se divirtieron mucho y hasta hicieron una colección de piedras de distintos colores. Los niños descubrieron que si ponían una piedra en la cascada salía más espuma y ese fue el juego principal del grupo de niños, lograr encontrar una piedra que no se cayera al ponerla en la cima de la cascada. A pesar de la cantidad de personas que hay en el lugar, es un sitio que recomiendo para cualquier edad, siempre con mucho cuidado a la hora de caminar por las escaleras y no resbalar entre las piedras.
Es muy relajante, por el hermoso paisaje, la temperatura agradable del agua para refrescar del calor en este intenso verano. Sigue siendo lindo, un lugar ideal para pasar el día, muy tranquilo, río limpio y fresco.

En el trayecto nos informaron que está prohibido poner música ……
Cuenta con sillas y mesitas de madera para comer, nosotros llevamos la comida, pero allí mismo hay un restaurante con comida cubana, hay un sitio para cambiarse, además si lo desea puede montar a caballo y para los que deseen estar más tiempo en contacto con la naturaleza hay cabañas para pasar la noche, si decide quedarse siempre recuerde llevar su mosquitero y algún repelente.
Es excelente estar en contacto con la naturaleza y por supuesto, cuidarla, a pesar de todas las informaciones y el cuidado que debemos tener para mantener el lugar, nos encontramos con pedazos de cristales en el fondo del río.
Al regreso le pregunté a mis niñas que fue lo que más les gustó de la visita, la mayor dijo que fue pasar un día en familia en contacto con la naturaleza y la pequeña lo que más le impresionó fue la temperatura fría del agua. En general es un lugar donde puedes ir a pasar un rato de convivencia con tus familiares y amigos, y a la vez disfrutar del hermoso paisaje montañoso.
Traiga su traje de baño y no se arrepentirá de pasar un día maravilloso y relajarse en los Baños de San Juan.
