Today I am with you again and we continue our virtual tour of the Pavlovsk Palace. The huge number of photos that I took during a trip to St. Petersburg in August of this year will perfectly complement my story.
ONLINE REFERENCE: The Pavlovsk Palace and Park Ensemble, created in the heyday of Russian classicism of the late XVIII – early XIX centuries, is a monument of cultural heritage under UNESCO protection. The core of the complex is the Pavlovsk Palace, the summer residence of Emperor Paul I.
Adjacent to the palace is the Pavlovsky Park with an area of about 600 hectares, which stretches along both banks of the Slavyanka River, making it one of the largest landscape parks in Europe.
The fact that the palace building has a semicircular shape is perfectly visible when museum visitors make the transition through the long rooms and galleries. The photo shows a smooth curve of the walls. This is somewhat unusual after other museums with flat walls.
It seems to me that for those Great people who lived here, this form of the building made an additional impression on the perception. It is enough for each of the visitors to look out of the window and look at the square in front of the palace or, conversely, look in the other direction and see how part of the building disappears around the bend.
Such a design of the palace, of course, is reflected in the decoration and design of interiors. From the point of view of a modern builder, there would be a lot of questions about the fitting of elements, because today flexible polyurethane is used in such decorations with might and main, and in those days all the stucco was made of gis.
If you move further along the halls, there is also a variety of classical forms, paintings, painted and stucco ceilings, sculptures, candlesticks, fireplaces and mantel clocks. It is impossible to capture all the beauty of this place with a glance at one time.
I will tell you one big secret: I myself only saw many details of the interiors of the palace well when I was going through and reviewing the photographs taken there. And so every time you visit such places, because the tour is quite fast - you need to have time to listen to the guide, consider and also take pictures.

Сегодня я снова с вами и мы продолжаем нашу виртуальную экскурсию по Павловскому дворцу. То, огромное количество фотографий, которые я сделал во время поездки в Петербург в августе этого года, прекрасно дополнят мой рассказ.
СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Дворцово-парковый ансамбль Павловска, созданный в эпоху расцвета русского классицизма конца XVIII – начала XIX вв. – памятник культурного наследия, находящийся под защитой ЮНЕСКО. Ядро комплекса — Павловский дворец, летняя резиденция императора Павла I.
Ко дворцу примыкает Павловский парк площадью около 600 га, раскинувшийся по обоим берегам реки Славянки, что делает его одним из крупнейших пейзажных парков в Европе.
То, что здание дворца имеет полукольцевую форму, отлично видно, когда посетители музея совершают переход по длинным комнатам и галереям. На фото заметен плавный изгиб стен. Это несколько необычно после других музеев с ровными стенами.
Мне кажется для тех Великих особ, кто здесь жил, такая форма здания вносила дополнительное впечатление в восприятие. Достаточно каждому из посетителей выглянуть в окно и посмотреть на площадь перед дворцом или, наоборот, посмотреть в другую сторону и увидеть, как часть здания исчезает за поворотом.
Подобная конструкция дворца конечно же нашла своё отражение в отделке и проектировании интерьеров. С точки зрения современного строителя возникло бы много вопросов по поводу подгонки элементов, ведь это сегодня в подобных декорациях вовсю используется гибкий полиуретан, а в те времена вся лепнина делалось из гиса.
Если двигаться дальше по залам, здесь также полно разнообразия классических форм, картин, расписных и лепных потолков, скульптур, подсвечников, каминов и каминных часов. Невозможно взглядом за один раз охватить всю красоту этого места.
Я открою вам один большой секрет: я и сам только тогда хорошо разглядел многие детали интерьеров дворца, когда перебирал и пересматривал снятые там фотоснимки. И так каждый раз при посещении подобных мест, потому что экскурсия - дело достаточно быстрое - нужно успевать слушать гида, рассматривать и ещё и фотографировать.
