Hello everybody! I have only two publications left on the topic of my daughter and me traveling along the rivers and canals of St. Petersburg. Today we will continue our virtual sailing on a small motor ship and see a lot of interesting places in this beautiful city.
Let's start with the Mariinsky Theatre. It is right next to him that our path lies. Currently, this world-famous theater is experiencing a rapid flourishing. There are literally no tickets to buy here, but if you succeed. get ready to pay a tidy sum for seats in the stalls.
After sailing under the Trade Bridge, we can see the facade of the theater in all its glory on the right. The most interesting thing is that at the same time, opposite (to the right of the course) is another building of the Mariinsky Theater. It was built recently and accommodates even more visitors. There is a kind of bridge behind that banner, through which you can get from one building of the theater to another, passing over the Kryukov Canal.
If we touch on the topic of rivers and canals of St. Petersburg, then, looking at the map of the city, we will be surprised to find that neither the Fontanka River nor the Moika River in our time are rivers in their original sense. They have essentially become channels, because their beginning and end flow into the Neva. it used to be different, but the layout of the city redrawn the channels of these rivers, which divided St. Petersburg into numerous "islands".
While I was telling you all this, we quietly reached another turn. Those tall trees over there hide New Holland. I recently talked about this place in great detail, but now we are making a sharp turn to the right, passing the Krasnoflotsky pedestrian bridge and right behind it is the Kissing Bridge. This way we get into the bed of the Moika River.
At this point, the shores expand noticeably, the domes of St. Isaac's Cathedral are visible ahead, and it may even seem that it will now appear around the next bend, but this is not the case at all. From here it is three whole blocks away and about a kilometer away on foot, because the Cathedral stands at the same distance from the Neva and Moika.
A beautiful building in the Classical style is the Yusupov Palace. However, this is not at all the same Yusupov Palace that we sailed through, moving along the Fontanka River. This palace is located a few blocks from the previous one. There is also a beautiful green garden behind the building, which, unfortunately, is not visible from the river.
Tomorrow I will have a final publication on the topic of water walks along St. Petersburg rivers and canals, I will show a new set of pictures and tell you about interesting places. I will also share with you my general impressions of this trip. And that's it for today!
Привет всем! У меня осталось всего две публикации на тему нашего с дочкой путешествия по рекам и каналам Петербурга. Сегодня мы продолжим виртуальное плавание на маленьком теплоходике и увидим массу интересных мест этого прекрасного города.
Начнём с Мариинского театра. Именно рядом с ним как раз лежит наш путь. В настоящее время этот знаменитый на весь мир театр переживает бурный расцвет. Билетов сюда буквально не купить, но если вам это и удастся. готовьтесь выложить кругленькую сумму за места в партере.
Проплыв под Торговым мостом, можем рассмотреть справа фасад театра во всей его красе. Самое интересное, что в то же самое время напротив (справа по курсу) находится другое здание Мариинского театра. Оно выстроено недавно и вмещает ещё больше посетителей. Вон за тем баннером находится своеобразный мост, через который можно попасть из одного корпуса театра в другой, пройдя над Крюковым каналом.
Если коснуться темы рек и каналов Петербурга, то, взглянув на карту города, мы с удивлением обнаружим, что ни река Фонтанка, ни Мойка в наше время не являются реками в их изначальном смысле. Они по сути стали каналами, ведь их начало и конец впадают в Неву. огда-то было иначе, но планировка города перекроила русла этих рек, которые разделили Петербург на многочисленные "острова".
Пока я рассказывал вам всё это, мы незаметно добрались ещё до одного поворота. Вон те высокие деревья скрывают Новую Голландию. Я недавно рассказывал об этом месте очень подробно, но сейчас мы делаем резкий поворот вправо, минуем пешеходный Краснофлотский мост и сразу за ним - Поцелуев мост. Таким образом мы попадаем в русло реки Мойки.
В этом месте берега заметно расширяются, впереди виднеются купола Исаакиевского собора и даже может показаться, что он сейчас покажется из-за ближайшего поворота, но это совсем не так. Отсюда до него целых три квартала и примерно километр пути пешком, потому что Собор стоит на одинаковом удалении от Невы и Мойки.
Красивое здание в стиле Классицизма - это Юсуповский дворец. Однако это совсем не тот же самый дворец Юсупова, который мы проплывали, двигаясь по Фонтанке. Этот дворец расположен в нескольких кварталах от предыдущего. Здесь так же имеется красивый зелёный сад позади здания, который, к сожалению, с реки не виден.
