Hey there, Hive Friends! I'm @zaldy07 and still new here in Hive, for today's blog I will be sharing my travel experience in Baguio City.
Baguio City is the Summer Capital of the Philippines and it is located in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) in Benguet, Philippines. Baguio offers cool weather, panoramic scenes, historical places, and vibrant culture. It is one of the tourist spots here in the Philippines due to its majestic beauty. Baguio offers many tourist spot destinations including Mount Pulag National Park, Burnham Park, Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, Diplomat Hotel, Mines View Park, Baguio Cathedral, Pink Sisters' Convent and Chapel, Baguio Botanical Garden, Strawberry Farm, Bencab Museum and so much more.
☀️ At four o'clock in the morning, we started to prepare food for breakfast so that we don't have an empty stomach going there and we brought some snacks so that we have something to eat during our travel. At 5 o'clock, we begin to travel and first thing first, we need to fill our gas tank and check the overall car so that we don't have uninterrupted travel. They say that the road going to Baguio is a little bit steep, I am a little bit nervous about that part since it is surrounded by cliffs. I felt a little bit dizzy that why I did not have the chance to picture some beautiful view along the round. I started to take a nap and my friend tapped me and said that we were already in Baguio. I feel the breezing air as we arrive around 7 o'clock in the morning. It's so nostalgic and helps you relax with an amazing view of nature and its cold weather.
Our first destination is the Botanical Garden, we only pay around 10 pesos to enjoy such a beautiful place. We line up in the entrance gate so that we can have a picture in the facade. Then after that, we walk through a beautiful pathway covered with flowers and vines. There are also signage and beautiful statues here and of course overflowing flowers everywhere. There is a also a part wherein the place is full of Cactus, different variety and size of cactus.
Here we try the Igorot Costume and took a picture with my friends in the Nipa Hut. Their costume is so vibrant and beautiful. Its my first time wearing this and Im so happy to have a picture with my friends.
We also visit Mines View Park and from there Im so amazed on the panoramic view that I witnessed. Its so beautiful and you gonna have to enjoy the beauty of nature. We also bought some "pasalubong" such as Strawberry Jam, freshly picked strawberry, plants, bracelets, tshirt and etc. Then we go to Bamboo Sanctuary and you can feel that you are in a different place since you are surrounded by bamboos and there are trails inside the place where you can enjoy the walk and be amazed on the view once you reach the top of the place.
At 12 noon we plan to eat in Goodtaste Restaurant but unfortunately there is a heavy traffic and also there are lots of people in the queue. We have decided to but food in the Jollibee and eat our lunch inside the car since there are lots of people inside the place and it starts to rain. We still have a lot of place to visit but its raining thats why we head through SM Baguio and roam around. At the top of the Mall there is an open area where you can enjoy and see the Baguio in General. After that the rain is already gone and go to Night Market to buy some affordable clothes then we go home.
