Hey travelers,
today I´ll take you on a walk in Stuttgart, my City of Birth and the hometown of companies like Daimler, Porsche, Bosch and many other of those global players.
Schlossplatz is a lively meeting point in the middle of Stuttgart - and in the middle of the Königstraße shopping street. Sit on one of the benches or lie down on the meadow and watch the hustle and bustle.
This is where the lifestyle and history meet: the historic buildings such as the New and Old Castle and the Königsbau become the backdrop for your break on the lawns, which are popular sunbathing areas in summer. Large fountains provide refreshment and around the palace square, cafés invite you to linger. Sunbathe, relax, unwind - locals and visitors from all over the world meet here and enjoy the special flair!
This has not always been the case in the past. Initially, Schlossplatz was a dusty parade ground. It was not until the 1860s that the writer and royal building and gardening director Friedrich Wilhelm Hackländer transformed it into a flower garden.
I hope you guys enjoyed the walk around the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart, in the next parts I´ll show you more of my City of Birth, Stuttgart... the heart of the so called Schwabenländle.. (Small Swabian Country)
Have a great day
Tom🤙
