Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum is famous for the first mosaic example of the warrior “amazon women” in the world.
Except really beautiful and interesting ancient mosaics, it is unique due to its construction design. It's the greatest structure of Turkey built without any columns having 82 m diameter and an area of 6.000 m2. The interior is very nice and spacious, has an area of 5,000 square meters, besides it's cool inside.
So, it is located in the city center, in few minutes walk from all main sites, Urfa Castle, Balikli Göl, Cave of Abraham and Kizilkoyun Necropolis, right next to the Sanlıurfa Archeological Museum. They have few kind or tickets - museum pass, single or combined ticket.

The area where the mosaics are located was built to include Roman villas.
Villa of Amazons
The mosaics depict the hunting scenes of Amazon women, some animals and people. "Villa of the Amazons" is a palatial house, that probably belonged to an important administrator of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, who lived in Edessa (an ancient name of Sanliurfa). The Villa of Amazons is composed of rooms aligned around a great hall of rectangular plan located between two symmetrically placed interior yards. The remains of the villa were discovered in 2006 near the center of Urfa.
To better view the mosaics at the correct angle, there are copies of them on the walls in improved quality.

Ktisis Mosaic
In ancient Greek, KTISIS (KTICIC, κτίσις) is the process of becoming and coming into being, resulting from a deliberate decision. It is the act of causing to exist that which did not exist before. Ktisis may apply to foundation of a city, construction of a new home, building or structure. It was emerged in the 4th century AD.
A crown ornamented by pearls on her head is depicted. Her earring has golden ring and oval pearl. If you look closer, Ktisis holds a grey colored measurement instrument with her fingers. This measurement instrument is the Roman foot measure and is approximately 29.7 cm.

Do you remember bee houses from one of my earlier posts? It was in Harran, which also belongs to Sanliurfa province. So, this mosaics where found new Harran Gates, dated to 5-6 AD.
I'm not sure where this scene of a bloody battle was found but it's stunning. Something from mythology I guess. A huge bird pecks a man's head with its beak. I think he has no chances.
Yolbilen Mosaic
It was decorating the floor of tomb from village of Yolbilen. It was carried and rebuilt here. You may easily recognize these characters. Around the circular frame in the center, the symbols of the four Bible writers are depicted. Matta is represented with lion, Markus with the ox, Lukka is a man, and John is represented with the eagle.
