RE: Kasteelpoort ascent, the Diving Board & Woody Ravine Descent, TABLE MOUNTAIN, South Africa

Aaaah! Thanks so much Joan, really appreciate it! I’ve always been adventurous and I’m not quite ready to slow down. I have friends who are still faster than I am and hiking in their 70s, so I have some good role models to look up to.

The views are always spectacular from Table Mountain at any angle - sometimes I think we take it for granted. But this hike was something else! Keen to go back again.

Sort:

Always enjoyed getting to caves, places of interest, suffering vertigo I would make blinker with hand to avoid movement while walking along paths high up.

Coming down always jelly legs, now enjoy walking along rivers through wooded areas not so much the heights, although still do some when in the Berg.

Never take any region for granted, slight change in lighting or cloud cover brings totally different feel and love of a new view. Keep hiking, it is an adventure each step you take.
