Old fishing marina in town center
Luckily the weather was still pretty warm last couple of days, almost ideal for searching for new things in and around Istrian town of Novigrad-Cittanova.
The fishermen seem to have already returned from the evening catch and prepared their fishing boats for tomorrow. They are usually there very early in the morning and if you come to marina late, it is no longer possible to see them. The only way to buy fresh fish is then to go to a nearby fish market.

Zidine (eng. translation The Walls)
The historic core of the city was completely surrounded by walls that are still one of the symbols of the city. With the entry of Venice into the possession of the city, in the 13th century, the jagged walls were built on presumed late antique remains. They were later restored through different periods of time.
Thanks to its walls, the city of Novigrad-Cittanova is a member WTFC (Walled Towns Friendship Circle), an international association of towns surrounded by walls.

Spider's nest
If you look closely at the photo, you will find spider's nest with sun shining through it. No wonder the spider wove his nest right here. He probably thought some good prey would be caught in his net, given that humans have also woven their own nest there. 😅🕷️🕸️

Seagulls on the beach
People mostly withdrew from the beaches because it is too cold to swim and now seagulls are the only rulers of the beach. Sometimes I see people nearby cleaning fish and that’s probably why seagulls like to stay there. Or maybe just enjoying the sun ... who knows.

Children's playground in the form of a pirate ship
Children's playgrounds, which are a popular gathering place for children during the summer as well as outside the tourist season. Here they enjoy the sandbox and pretend to be pirates. Such playground in a person evokes memories of childhood. I guess there is a bit of kid still somewhere hidden in all of us.

Karpinjan Beach & Bay
Karpinjan is only one kilometer away from the center of city Novigrad direction north. It covers some 500 meters of coastline in the bay of the same name. Most of the coastal strip is landscaped and pebbled, while a smaller part has retained its original wild appearance and rocky access to the sea.
The beach is surrounded and protected by tall pine trees, which provide excellent shade during the hot summer months. Due to the larger surface of the sea shoals, this beach is especially popular with families with small children.

Very cool place, that water is really inviting! I hope it's not too cold! 😊
It is too cold for swimming ... at least to me it is ... they say it's 15.2°C today.
