The weather last few days was pretty cold, but mostly sunny. Having an early lunch yesterday made it possible to enjoy the beautiful weather. The light northeast wind, despite the shining sun, gave the feeling of rather cold weather. Anyway, it was worth the walk and soak up the fresh winter sea air.
Kastanija, Istria, Croatia
2 fishermen and a small fishing boat not far from the shore. One was dressed in diving gear at sea and the other on a boat. I wonder what kind of catch they were looking for at this time of year in the sea.

Beach near Novigrad
For those who like natural rocky beaches, Novigrad and its surroundings are an ideal choice. In many places nearby it is possible to swim, and the paths to the beaches often lead up the stairs, as shown in the photo.

Olive grove
A very common sight that we come across almost everywhere in Istria are very nicely cultivated and maintained olive groves. Istria produces one of the best and highest quality olive oils in the world. With special techniques and with a lot of love, Istrian olive oils reach the perfection of taste, aroma and color, which is recognized by top connoisseurs around the world.

Novigrad, Istria (Croatia)
View towards the Church of St Pelagius and St Maximus from the path leading to the Novigrad lighthouse. In front of the church is small, but very beautiful pine tree park. There is also a children's playground in the park.

Lighthouse - Novigrad, Istria (Croatia)
The lighthouse stands on the head of the breakwater of the port of Novigrad. The white concrete tower is about 5 meters high. The lighthouse light is at a height of 7 meters above sea level and emits two consecutive flashes every 5 seconds. Obviously, it would need to be beautified a bit as it has already been torn apart by the ravages of time and rust.

Marine speed warning sign
The entrance to the bay in Novigrad is marked with a speed limit sign at 3 knots. It is interesting that the kuna symbol is also a symbol for the local Croatian currency, the kuna.

Old fishing marina - Novigrad, Istria (Croatia)
The old fishing marina in the strict center of the old part of the town is always full of fishing boats. This is the place you can buy fresh fish from local fieshermen.

A sculpture near Novigrad's Rotonda city beach is a fine piece of art. I guess it shows a mermaid, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this one.

The place is beautiful. The play ground is amazing with the light. My best is the old fishing marina, I love fresh fish, I can't more than enough there

I have heard a lot about the beauty of Croatia, but have not yet managed to go on vacation to these lands :)
I hope you will have a chance to visit Croatia soon. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
What a nice place! It looks so beautiful and quiet!!!
This was funny to me. There are no such signs where I live. And I was born in a big city by the river/sea. 😅
This was the first time I have seen a sign like this, too! 😁
You took many beautiful photos! The atmosphere on almost every is very tranquil. 🙂
Yeah. There are not many people around at this time of the year. The nature seems to be resting, too.
Beautiful photos and story
Thank you!
Great photos my friend. How are you?
Nice Shots mate! 🤩
