Welcome to day 14 10 😉of my blogging challenge. I had a very busy Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (deadlines) and just lazy on Sunday. But let's continue where I left off.
My 10 favorite foods
1.Nasi
~~I have changed my lifestyle recently ~~ I am trying to change my lifestyle and eating low carb is one of the things, I will try to keep steady for a long time. That does not change the fact that Nasi is still my absolute favorite food. I used to eat this many times per year, but I know the taste so I am good with it once or twice a year (my Birthday+1) now
2.Viadoe
Another high-carb delicious food from Suriname. This cake is the best! Viadoe is a tricky one for me because although it is my number 2, I am very particular about it. The bottom has to be wet, the raisins have to be right and the top has to be good.
3.BBQ chicken and spareribs (with fries and corn)
I used to only enjoy this in the spring and summer in the Netherlands and when in Suriname. Maybe that`s why it is this high on the list.
4.Amsoi with salted meat
I love Amsoi, I really do. Amsoi is a very healthy vegetable, which makes it even better. Although we usually eat this with rice, I just found a new hack (broccoli rice) to eat this.
5.Saoto
I am a soup guy, but this one is the leader of the pack.
6.Pindasoep (Peanutsoup? in English really strange to type that)
I like this soup very much, but because peanuts and oil are used it is a calorie bomb so tricky to eat often.
7.Bruine Bonen
This is another one that I don`t really eat anymore, but it is very delicious
8.Teloh
Cassava and fish, that can never be something good...Wrong!
This is simple yet o so tasty when prepared right.
9.KFC
If not for dietary reasons, who does not like a bucket from the colonel from time to time?
10.Pitjel
Wow... I want it all o😢
