30-Day Blogging Challenge Day 11 - My favorite childhood book

Probably everybody remembers his childhood or at least some great moments. Often we all played outside, without smartphones, without fancy clothes or fancy toys, just like with a shovel and bucket in the garden near the tomatoes and cucumbers.

Or maybe these are only my memories. Let me tell you how my summer vacation was going when I was a little girl. I remembered that going to my village was like a real feast (I had 2 and both of them had pluses and minuses). Let me tell you about one of them.

It is around 30 kilometers from my home town. It is a small village with less than 60 houses in it. The best part was that there was a river nearby, just like 50 meters after the sign that shows the end of the village.

It was really fun there when I was little we were something like 20 kids there. At certain hours there was a different fun activity.

The regular kids' day was something like:

  • you wake up at 8 and eating breakfast
  • then comes the neighbor kid and you go together in the part across the street
  • after that, your grandma starts to call you to come for your snack
  • after that you both go to check the next kid at the end of the village (I mean to walk like 10 minutes)
  • when you reach the destination you hear come on to see I have a new toy, we played there aaaaand in one moment you see your angry Grandma eyes calling you YOU HAD TO COME TO HAVE A LUCH WHAT YOU DO HERE.
  • Ok go back and have a lunch
  • Then it is damn hot, what you can do?! Yeah took another friend and go to the river, there was a slow movement of the water which was fleet and it was like an ankle-deep. The women used it for washing carpets or the wool from the sheep they took care of.
  • Yeah a couple of hours left.. of course, your clothes were wet and you had to wait in the sun to dry them... you can't go home where lives the Grandma with the CRAZY RED EYES
  • you go home then because you had to have a snack again you like my Granma said those days "If you don't eat it I will put it in your back (dropped in the t-shirt) and I will call all your friends to laugh at you
  • Then around 6 PM the magic starts.
The Village had a little library. It was an old wagon, made to be a library. All the kids came there to choose a book or to give it back. When there were new books it looks like a real fight for them.
  • we took the books and left them at home
  • we played till the dark, some games like jumping a rope, a game with rocks and jumping "making a home and a coffee" in the park
  • when it goes dark we played hide and seek
  • then go home and eat
  • and finally the before bedtime the books

I don't have a favorite book, I like many of them but specific favorite I don't. I remembered that I loved to read GAME BOOKS and scary storybooks. We read them with my cousins and often couldn't sleep after them. But it was fun.
